Scruggs and Tomlinson were only told the 2 days before they would be rotating at LG. Mind you, the coaches had 15 days to prepare for the Seahawks.

DeMeco says the game plan was to be “hands-on,” and that he isn’t calling the plays — or is he? Did Burke throw out the game plan to be “hands-on”? Did DeMeco not see that they weren’t being “hands-on” during the game? Maybe DeMeco isn’t ready to be a head coach.

    I hate this so much.
Maybe I can compartmentalize my love for the player Demeco and the frustration with the coaching.

This has to be Demeco, right? It feels like he's forcing the coaches to play all the players so no one feels excluded, even if they're much, much worse. Just baffling.

When coaches and players are not on the same page and players starts passive aggressively putting it on the coaches.... someone's on the hot seat and possibly fired soon. We'll see if this cools down or continues. Winning fixes everything...but I dont see that happening much this year.

Demeco better show up and actually be a damn head coach.

Yeah man, I just don’t get why we can’t be a non dysfunctional organization.
Light shines for a bit and then turns to ****. Everytime

The organization is structured the wrong way for the modern NFL.

The head coach needs to be an elite offensive mind to work with the QB

Stroud can't play behind a bad line. If he was in Detroit he would be an elite QB, but that is an anomaly in the NFL. Having an elite athlete at QB is so important in the modern NFL. It makes it so much harder to defend and makes up for lapses on the O-line

Caserio can't put together a competent offensive line to save his life. He went bargain shopping in the off-season and didn't hire a competent OL coach.

    Fire DeMeco and Caserio.

I would also move on from Stroud just because I have no faith in this organization to ever put together an elite offensive line that CJ would need to flourish in the NFL.

I want to like DeMeco, but him saying players aren't doing what they are told is a terrible look (especially when we know it isn't true in the case of Stingley not putting his hands on JSN).

He will lose the locker room saying things like that, especially if they aren't true.

Detroit's head coach is not an elite offensive mind. Neither is Josh Allen's, Lamar Jackson's, Drake Maye's, Justin Herbert's, Jalen Hurts', Jayden Daniels', Baker Mayfield's, Sam Darnold's.......

I would fire Caserio - well, I would've fired him when I hired DeMeco - but today. Fire him right this very second. Jettison him and all the Easterby cronies into the sun. Hire an elite offensive coordinator - one, preferably who has been a head coach (I keep stumping for Mike McCarthy) - hire an elite offensive line coach (Munchak), invest heavily in the OL through trades, free agency, draft.

This *CAN* be fixed. It's not a terribly difficult puzzle to solve.

A little help. For anybody that listened to the Demeco Ryans show or Casserio on AM 610, did anybody ask them why Stroud is not under center more? Even in his great rookie year, the average fan schmuck like me can see he is more comfortable there.

I only listened for about 5-10 minutes of the Ryans show. Total softball questions from Harris. "it was great getting back Autry, wasn't it?". "How important is it to win these next 3 home games?". Turned it off.

real good stuff with DJ Bieneme.

    Choice bits.
-Demeco is the 2nd most powerful person at NRG behind the owner.
-players listen to his pressers and kind of side eye his saying one thing to press and another to locker room
-Demeco wanted another WR. Nick went and got Diggs when Keenan Allen deal didn’t materialize
-Nick is not a people person
-McNairs are very sensitive to fans saying we are Patriots South.
-Doesn’t like the idea of firing a GM without also firing the coach. I agree tbh. Thats some Titans lev el of fu$kery.
-Demeco may have an ‘I’m always right’ type of attitude.

    Worth listening to.

What a dysfunctional pile of dumbassery. Just blow this joke up. Fire Nick and Demeco, and hire an offensive minded coach and a GM who doesn’t think he’s the smartest guy in the room.
