How high is Alperen Sengun's basketball IQ really?

So I know he gets the narrative of being a highly smart basketball player, but I dont see it. Defensively he's still a liability & offensively he often makes boneheaded decisions in the clutch like tonight. How can a so called franchise player make such dumb, selfish basketball plays?

I don't know if his IQ is high but I know his toughness isn't.

first of if he's your franchise player you're not going anywhere. KD is here to bridge the gap until one of these young ones actually produces like one when it matters.

Pretty easy to ball out vs dudes who smoked hookah before games in Europe.

I just don't like seeing him throw his hands up everytime he doesn't get a call. It just makes the refs hate him more.

He would look lot better if Jabari was hitting the shots. Adam is sitting at rebound spot which clogg both Sengun and Amens space to operate. Amen thrives in cutting but when Adam is in the paint we basically lost two offense from both Sengun and Amen

Why wasn't this posted game one and not game 2? Gross over reaction. If you want to be reasonable you knock you can have is he doesn't keep focus under pressure and play his own pace and boy do they send pressure. Alp and KD have been getting pressure from two very good defensive teams. Defenses are finally starting to play like they should have a long time ago. ALP isn't the problem, the problem is people aren't moving into spots to alleviate that pressure or take advantage of it.

As soon as the double comes at you there should be an outlet and a plan of action because you should know by now its coming. This isn't an ALP thing this is a coaching thing. I wouldn't call our players selfish but they still don't have the team mentality of helping people in trouble, they sort of just stand around. Its up to Ime to drill into them what to do when these things happen, and they will.

Jabari isn't our franchise player. I just witnessed Sengun get the ball down the stretch and stupidly force the ball up against 3 Piston defenders with everyone open on the perimeter. This was the stupidest basketball decision he could've made. Mind you he played like this all game

I hate how he flops and snaps his head and body around like a fish on every drive like KAT does

He is still developing, if he is making clutch mistakes by age 27, you have a point.

I know the timeline with a 37 year old leading 23 year olds is crazy but that is the world we live in today.

14 assists/ 4 turnovers when playing the point, plus a few more in the clutch that were missed.
Highest starter +/- including tonight's game.

The complaining to the refs has to stop. You've already earned their respect.
Unless you're name is Embiid, all star centers including Joker are capped out at 7.5 FTAs.

Alpi's IQ is fine. He just still needs to be the second option behind KD for a bit. And we need an actual offense. It's criminal to have this much talent and absolutely nothing drawn up to get an easy bucket anywhere. I actually have more faith that Ja'Sean Tate could roll out cold and hit his spin to the left layup than Ime could draw up any kind of play. I'd bet on Unc getting a random dunk driving from the arc than Ime drawing up a play too tbh.

Developing my azz. If he is our superstar & so called "franchise", then these low bball IQ plays need to be accounted for

Alpi has got to figure out that NBA reffing is rigged against bigs. He has to learn that teams can maul you all game like they do Jokic and you have to create contact first
