I'll say it again. Alperen isn't like... Dirk Scola or DSabonis His game resembles a smaller Big Daddy Sabonis. While he likely won't ever approach pre injury Arvydas, this is the comp.
His ball handling and shot look phenomenal. He's entered the season on fire and we should ride him until we gel a little. Hopefully we will have many boring wins so he can rest some 4th quarters, or he will burn out by the playoffs.
I have never seen anyone this committed to getting better at his Craft. And the Results coming this fast. Joker is all about his horses and is not even 100% into basketball.....speaks volumes about his talent level..... The Closest I think of is SGA who was not the tallest, strongest or fastest......Sengün is the Center/PF version of SGA or Kobe to me.
The way he backed himself into the paint gave me Barkley vibes. But dribbling from the 3pt line into the defense is definitely his own thing. He's a blend of several greats.
He’s letting it fly like Brook Lopez. It took Lopez a long time to get comfortable doing that. Next task is to get with Harden for a summer. I’ve seen shades of a rip-through and step-back.
His handles and playmaking is better than Dirk. If he can shoot anywhere close to Dirk's shooting, he'll be top 5, maybe top 3.
