Love this guy. All it took for me was watching him at Utah summer league. It was plain as day he had the skills, athleticism, intelligence and a serious amount of attitude. My only concern was his fit with Maxey. Obviously nobody saw 34 points as a career opener. That was insane. If anyone here saw him a lot at Baylor, please give us a rundown.
If VJ Edgecomb was in that draft he would've gone #1. There might be 4-6 players in the 2025 NBA Draft that would've gone #1 over Risacher lol.
Philly is quietly stacked lol...insanely so. If VJ is anything close to this, they are a legit championship contender...if Embiid ever gets in shape, I only saw the highlights but dude was moving like he was wearing 30lb ankle weights or something. He looked so sluggish and bad...but if Embiid can get back in form that team is a serious problem. I almost forgot Paul George is also on that team.
That really looks bad. But be cautioned that Embiid may be at the stage of recovery where it's safe for him to play but his knees and ankles are still rounding into form after months of inaction. Game time is best for his progress now vs. rest. My guess is he will improve a lot with time, round into something approaching his old form and real the question is how long will he last before something flairs up again.
Hey, Adams looked like sh!te early last year. The difference is that with Embiid's history of knee problems, it seems like just a matter of time before it happens again.
How's his defense? He plays like a star so far in the first game. Drives, shoots mid and 3s... man why couldnt the draft be as good last year...
