He seems like a hardworker, has good hands, can shoot. This is his first real game against an actual tryhard thunder team. Peopleforget he dropped like 20 on em last season on good shooting. Blaming this loss soley on him is just ludicrious the Thunder have one of the best perimeter defenses in the league.

A lot of people actually. Same people who wanted to give Jalen "more time" at this time last year but want Reed yanked or traded for one game against the Thunder where he basically put up a Jalen Green like performance (on less shots).

Reed seems to be getting a lot of criticism for a guy just starting out.

Sheppard reaching a borderline All-Star level would silence 99% of these 'critics'.

Who TF is blaming the loss on Sheppard? I haven't seen a single instance of that. Weird take.

I think every Rockets fan will root for him if he exceeds on the court. But some folks are just programmed to look at 1/2 filled 8 oz glass of water as half empty space, instead of the 4 oz of water in it. Just different ways to view your reality.

I genuinely want Meagan Good to bring me breakfast in bed whilst honeymooning in the Caribbean.

We're playing that game where we list things that won't happen in any universe in the next million years, right?

I see it differently from the hater and lovers of Reed.

Reed can't succeed right now because of his size, length and core strength. It's hard for me to blame him on defense when he physically cannot guard whoever picks on him. His arms are too short (they look like T-rex arms), he's not built like a tree stump so he gets backed down easily and I've always said if he was 4 inches taller, these would be non-issues.

I think on offense he's fine. He's a small shooting guard asked to play point guard. He's still too raw to play perfect there but his shooting will always have to be the skill that bails him out.

If we start him for the next 2 years and develop his game, will he be good? Yes, I believe so but it seems like since we got KD, everyone's expectations are championship or bust. If we don't trade him and can sign him to a cheap extension, I say why not? He has the instincts to be a good player, he just needs a ton of reps. Look at how many years we gave Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr., Reed's gonna need the same time and leniency to achieve his peak potential.

Also, I want to add that people seem to think that point guard is something you can just learn to do within a year. No, it's not. Most elite point guards played point throughout their entire life. It's like a way of life, it needs to come to you naturally otherwise you'll always be a second behind when it comes to making the right play.

How do we get the person to fit in his role for the next couple of seasons whilst he develops? His 10mil contract is one of the best assets we have right now to try and actually get a primary ballhandler. Jalen wasn't playing on a contender, neither was KPJ.

So we need to waste 4 years hoping Sheppard is good, because we gave Jalen and KPJ a long time? Fool me once
