He’s going to tear his ACL with that kind of stress on his legs.

Long term investment yes. Short term that looked scary as hell, when that big long stick man strides into the basket with new found confidence.

I want to see Adams and Clint make all ten of their personal fouls count. Sengun can stay in front of him but will get played over the top.

Do you think this is a charity thing? Not sure if you realize Hakeem is likely among the most expensive basketball trainers in the world. Whatever he’s paying forward, they’re paying him back ten fold. Nothing wrong with getting paid, just noting that this is not a “for the game” thing he’s doing.

Also @Dobbizzle the rockets can’t afford to sign him exclusively + he has multiple businesses he actively runs. I don’t think it’s feasible to bring Hakeem in house. But I do wish he said no just this one time.

I don't know where the number comes from, but in the past, I've read something like $50,000 per session. I don't know if a "session" is 1 day or 1 week or what. I don't know if that's even true. Gilbert Arenas was going off on Hakeem (a.k.a. trolling the populace for some clicks) because he was charging people the $50k for "80's and 90s moves" when Giannis said he was going to train with Hakeem in Houston. Warmed my heart when I saw people like Screamin A., Paul Pearce, Rod Strickland, etc. come to his defense.

Bingo! Hakeem is a businessman, he makes good money doing his thing. It’s not like he does it for free…

There is no proof he charges, so y’all need to stop listening to Gil and his click bait podcast

I don’t have a problem with Hakeem training Wemby, Moses did for him and he has been giving back
No Dream slander will be tolerated

Good point. After further review, it looks like Giannis said he wasn't charged, but if he was charged, he'd pay for it. But the supposed charging for sessions goes back to before the Gil stuff. I also don't know why people would be mad even if he did charge. He's taking his time out to do it and the wealthier you are, the more you should pay. lol.

Dream is Jordan level. He's just the NBA at this point. He's a Rocket forever, just like Michael will always be a Bull, but I'm happy that he is an international legend. (Please tell him to publicly ask Nigerian Muslims to stop killing Christians.)

I believe it's $100k+ for him to give you basketball tips for a couple of days. Gilbert Arenas let this out when he was ranting to death about how overpaid Hakeem is as a trainer.

Wemby looked completely unstoppable tonight and used all sorts of Hakeem-like moves. It's ridiculous how good he looks after a summer session with Hakeem...

I hate that he's in the West with us because that's another future rival team. Also that damn Spurs team has 3 point guards, any of which we could use but trading with them definitely could come back to bite us.

Like seriously, I can look past my bias and acknowledge that if Wemby never gets hurt he's 100% going to win an MVP in the very near future.

Also Wemby is 100% going to hyped as the MVP this season because I looked at their schedule and they basically play a bunch of easy teams until they match up with us for the NBA cup. MVP narratives are going to be all over the media the next 2 weeks.

yeah it's not looking great for us... our biggest hope was that the Spurs would miss the lottery this year but instead they landed Harper who will for sure develop as well.

Hakeem on Wemby: Sky is the limit, he can do anything.

Hakeem on Sengun: Played great in Euroleague, looking forward to see how far he can go.

Cmon Hakeem...Anyways, if Wemby can learn from Hakeem, they should let Alpy learn from Duncan.

Wemby looked like an MVP yesterday…looked like he’s gonna average 28-30 ppg this season
