Wemby still scared to play back to basket when his jumpshot not falling. Top 10 player in the league, but I'm not buying him as MVP until he dominates the paint.
I don't like Victor, but you need to get your head out of the box. If he stays healthy, the guy will redefine basketball. He's the real Unicorn, not Porzingis. It almost makes me vomit to admit this, but I actually enjoyed him tonight (because he abused the Mavs).

Wemby's defense plus 18 ppg would make him a Top 10 player. He's gonna average 27+ It's funny watching players shake Wemby on the perimeter but have ZERO intention of shooting in the paint. Drive.. then, PASS. If Wemby is just standing near the rim, 0 FGA within 6' radius.
Wemby could've gone to any team except SA or DAL, and it have been cool. LAL and BOS too to a lesser extent FVV also makes this harder to watch. It's not easy winning championships. You need your players.
Wemby's jumpshot not going to fall every game, driving lanes will be taken away from him, and he still prefers to take a fadeaway than a back-to-basket action...once he starts initiating offense in the post then he'll be MVP. Great game tonight though
Wemby controlled his 3-point attempts tonight, only 2. Aside from health, shot selection has always been his biggest weakness. We'll see if it's a fluke or if he is trying to cut down on 3's.
Name one player at Wemby's size who has had a long and healthy career. Plus he is a little b**** and is easy to root against.
