Who cares about arbitrary rankings. One is a good team player the other was a ISO ball hog. Obviously the guy with the ball will get ranked hire but that doesn’t do me any good now. Jokic was a second round pick. Man if only the rankings stayed true…. Reed may never score 20 like Jalen did but we don’t need him to. Rockets don’t need Reed to be a star. But he can be more impactful to winning.

It's not looking good. Trade him now while he still has value. There's a new damaging video of all the Reed BBQ chickenry from last night.

I don't expect him to, he's not good enough. We're looking to compete now, otherwise why bother with KD?

When exactly? So far he hasn't been at all, which is why he hasn't got played much at the big club and lived in the G-league. Where's this huge proof that he can impact winning? Because y'all keep throwing out "judging on small sample sizes" but you're basing your entire case on 3 games, your sample size is smaller than mine, he's been ass in more games than he's been good in. He ACTUALLY has the proportion of good games everybody b****ed that Jalen had when he had significantly more. It's a massive double standard that's weird considering we're now real contenders. He has no more place on a contender than Jalen or Cam in 2025.

The Rockets organization disagrees with your assessment of Reed. Especially after the first game against the defending champs.

Considering our assets, not sure why you think Reed somehow prevents the rockets from making a move.

Yeah it's a shame really, he's one of the better options we've got of trading for a real primary ballhandler.

don't you think reed + tari + picks can get a good guard? even if FVV comes back next year, this would be a welcome addition.

I agree on that 100% I just think that also removed Reed's safety net. You're the efficiency guy you can't be pro-Reed based on his current level of performance, he makes Jalen look efficient lol. I'd love for FVV to be cool and Reed to get more of a cushion but we need to compete now, we've got a LOT of competition that'll mature once KD's at the end of his contract or sooner. If Tari wants to play the selfish game etc, I agree with the other person Tari + Reed + filler and picks should get us a steady PG to run the offense and give us a bit of what we lost from Fred. What's Harden on? If Kawhi's duct tape falls off and they're no longer contenders that'd instantly improve our efficiency on offense and we'd still have more than enough defenders to cover any weakness. At least he's not a midget like Reed.

Reed is definitely looking like a bust and I’m surprised at all the “not worried” posts. I’m definitely worried! Dude looks useless on both ends.

Totally wrong we judged Jalen as a 4th year player. When he was a rookie we had no expectations and he was loved on the forum. It wasn’t til he never improved after 2-3 years that he started getting flamed.

So you’re saying that after 52 games of barely playing Reed won’t get any better and this is who he is? Got it.

Bullshit. Sorry, I was a Jalen fan, y'all did not remotely wait 2-3 years before ******** on him. I can pull receipts at the weekend if you like?

As a rookie I had 0 complaints about Jalen and I’ve been one of his biggest haters. His last 15 games a rookie he fooled me into thinking he was going to be a Star. Most people spent time hating on wood and kpj

same with Reed. If he continues to play like he is I’ll hate on him too.

Reed hasn’t played so he has no sample size to talk about efficiency at this point. I am in favor of having him play at least 25 mpg and see what he does. For me personally, i gave up on jalen after year 3. As a prospect i LOVED him, as a rookie i thought he was amazing, 2nd year was concerning, and after his 3rd i gave up and admitted i was wrong. At that point, jalen had played 7341 minutes, taken 3645 shots including 1617 3s. Reed at this point has played 682 minutes, taken 250 shots including 149 3s. That's just not enough for me to decide. I believe that by far the best chance for the rockets to become a real contender in the next few seasons is for Reed to hit. Yes, you could probably make a stupid trade now for a stop gap but i have zero interest in that (like a coby white).

just our luck we had the 3rd pick in a weak ass draft. VJ edgecomb went 3rd this year, ace bailey went 5th. horrible luck.

Which draft turned out to have not even 1 all star? If a guy thinks you are no 1 in the entire class you are saying he expects just a role player? This low bar is just because he is Reed Sheppard lol get real.

White would go top 10 in a redraft and Reed falls out of the top 10 in a redraft.

He shot 33% from 3 brother. He wont get a job as a 33% Kyle Korver
