Don’t get me wrong Ime turned this franchise around and instilled toughness and accountability to the culture. But, after seeing the lack of offensive creativity last night has me concerned.

Where were the ball screens to get Durant open? Where were the pin downs to get him an open mid range? Why was there no Sengun - KD pick and roll?

It seemed like we were just playing iso ball all throughout crunch time and if it weren’t for Sengun balling out, the game probably wouldn’t have been as close. It reminded me of our stagnant offense vs. GSW last year in the playoffs.

I’m also not a big fan of running zone with the twin towers at crucial parts of the game. Too many wide open 3’s that we were fortunate OKC had a cold shooting night.

We need d Antoni to run this offense. He needs to focus on defense.

We really need an offense coordinator. Ime's methods might just end up wearing everyone down before the playoffs even start. You gotta be careful especially with someone at Durant's age

Yeah, the need for offensive coordinator is obvious. But ime is hard headed and could have a hard time working with one.

Been saying this since he got here, he is a PLAY harder guy, not a cerebral Xs and Os type.....

Not sure he is going to be able to get it done, as he OVERVALUES defense and sits players like Pritchard in Boston who was a big part of their championship after Ime left and he was freed from the bench.

Game 1 of 82 with new players going against the defending champs. Hit the panic button.

There is no panic, but what exactly is so great about Ime other than he has players respect and gets them to play hard?

Is he great at designing an offense? Took him 2/3rds of last season to even try the double big, he wasted Reed and Cam's year last year when we were still developing.

Yeah, he may be a good coach but Rudy T he ain't.

No matter how many times you say it.... Cam and Reed "Wasted" their own last year by not being NBA ready.

We take the best defensive team and best overall team to double OT and lose by 1 point and you autistic mofos are complaining about offense?

    To reiterate...

It appears that way because that’s exactly what was going on

he doesn’t believe in an offensive strategy

I am just saying lets wait for a bigger sample size. Almost half of the lineup who played last night are new.

We are not finding a better coach than Ime this season.

Also add in we were a KD freethrow away from winning. Also throw in a KD foul away from winning. The players shot themselves in the foot.

Too early in the season to complain about Ime, but we all know he has offensive deficiency base on previous seasons. Hope he figures it out.

Yeah man - I'm really worried that we have a -1.9pt differential right now. Ime can't continue coaching a team with a negative point differential. Is Stone asleep at the wheel or something? I mean KD is 0% from three this year - we have to cut him now. Amen couldn't even finish the game - what type of "star" are we really betting on here if the guy hasn't even finished a game this year? Eason and Reed? Trade them immediately because all hope is lost. Sengun is nearly averaging a 40pt triple double and is the most dominant 3pt shooter in the league right now - why are we even wasting Sengun's time with these clowns?

    /sarcasm

Its fine ya'll - Ime has 81 more games to figure it out and losing a close one against the NBA champs when you are missing your top 2 PGs from a month ago is not necessarily a shocking loss. The offense slowly improved last year and will slowly improve this year. These things just take time.

Take a deep breath, or are you still refusing to condemn assassinations of influencers in the D&D because of how badly you’ve been hurt. I’m sure the emotions are seething.

I get that a lot of you guys are stupid. It was the same thing when Morey was here and most of the posters guzzled down whatever he said despite anybody that’s played basketball at any impactful level knowing you can’t just run up and jack up 3s constantly.

This is even worse. There is no spacing. There is no consistent screen coverage. There are no plays, even after lengthy timeouts in crucial situations . That’s how you have Reed and Tari running crazy iso plays with KD right next to them.

if you’re an obese soyboy (like yourself), you probably can’t put that together with the the abundance of sample size that is last season and go…”jeez it’s the same chit huh?”

in other words, shut the *** up and stop projecting. It’s not the job of your surroundings to dumb itself down because you’re running at snail pace

The most unnecessarily personal way to say "we need more pick and rolls" I've ever seen, but sure.

I mean, the dude does everything except openly cry left and right and chooses to project his own feelings.

It’s just a bit rich when him and his crowd have been wrong about everything the past decade and then pretend it was normal to pick up on things on a toddler timeline.

I would be ecstatic if we ran just a couple
Pick and rolls. That’s how low the bar is for this coach.

It’s really not an overreaction, it’s the reality under Ime’s coaching. He’s great in improving any team defensively, but he’s really lacking creativity on offense. And even if Durant wouldn’t had foul Shai and we won it, it still doesn’t change the fact that we have a room for improvement in the way we run our offense.
