IMHO, he was very close to Scola until he learned to hit the 3ball and that is not a knock on Alpi at all. Scola was a beast.....but that is just my take - why does it bother you so much what other people think? Who cares, just be a fan. But sure, if it makes you feel good to mock, that just leads to you being ignored..... DD
As I said and got flamed for (suck a dick Amen-homers!) Alpi's much closer to being a top 5 player than Amen right now. Looks like the leap he started making in Eurobasket is carrying through into this season like we hoped. Whilst I'm not going to fully say he'll be top 5, I think he's got a damn good shot at at least somewhere in the all-NBA list. Awesome stuff.
It's because he only got to like 0.5 Barkleys wide. The metric for big men under 6'8 is at least 0.75 on the Barkley scale. Zion might be a shooting guard now too.
it doesn’t bother me. It is a forum for interaction. If your only contribution to this thread is ‘he is scola’ or ‘I am on board with him now that he is at mvp level on a non-max contract.’ then you get this response. Make a meaningful contribution and you will get a different response.

I am doing me and you are doing you. I contribute in many ways to this thread and all you do is spit the same words over and over again and complain when you get called out. You are bothered with what I said and somehow act as if it is the other way around.
Everyone wants to talk for literal years about how a certain player would never amount to anything, totally getting the cfans.net mob riled up, arguing that they are no good, then that they are maybe an off-the-bench player to run the second unit while Bruno lobs for the first, then that they are a flawed starter, then that they are just literally Scola, and when they finally get proven thoroughly wrong, then they want to lament and complaint that non-haters should just let things go after a few weeks of being proven right despite their repeated hammering of the players who saw that player's potential from the first SL game. What should have happened is that people should have toned down their hateful rhetoric for the past 4 years, and recognize they were wrong, and eat their crow repeatedly instead of whining that they are being called out. If you can solidly spend 4 years putting down players, you can certainly take a few weeks, at least, of having the people who were right all along finally get to do their winning laps around the forum. Next time don't be such haters. Like it or not, ATW was right.
JG super fan if not calling out Sengun fans calls out Amen fans. I mean its the first game when Amen had the green light to shoot 3s. I won't bet on him not working on it and getting better. JG had a greenlight to shoot from everywhere all 4 years and a playoffs series and all you JG fans defended and made all excuses and now know how that eventually turned out It was and sitll is right to believe in Sengun and Amen. ATW was right, Amen fans were right. JG fans were dead wrong.
The best was JG couldn't thrive because of Sengun being a ball stopper and lack of spacing. Quite ironically Sengun made 5 3s in his first regular season game after JG is gone.
those JG fans were complaining and asking what Alpi, Amen, Jabari, and Ime can change and do to help JG All while Alpi, Amen, Jabari, and Ime were doing everything to help JG now the true core Sengun Amen, and Jabari plus Ime won't have to give up shots and defer and accomodate to that loser
In yesterday’s game, I counted three plays where KD’s gravity opened up a clear path to the rim for Alperen. Against teams that don’t defend as well as OKC, that number is only going to increase.
It is NOT hammering him to say he was like Scola - who is one of my favorite players ever. This is just whiny behavior - saying he was SCOLA like it a compliment - SCOLA was a ****ing beast in the low post, and was amazing in international ball. The thin skinnedness of folks who are desperate to declare victimhood is alarming. Go out and touch grass FFS. And ATW was banned because he deserved it......good riddance..... DD
