JG was the main guy being hounded and focused on. Reed was the 5th guy and ignored. Its not the same.

JG never got put on the spin cycle by Lou ****in Dort.

Agree with all the points. I would just like to add that OKC played like it was game 7 of the playoffs. There was so much intensity between the two teams that it didn't look like the very first game of the season. For all the negativity due to the loss, the Rockets showed a lot of grit and fighting spirit. Everyone should just chill and realize that this is the first time that this team played together for the very first official game after major changes in the lineup. Considering that they have not even developed any chemistry, yet they played the defending champs in a high intensity game and almost won.

I believe that with more playing time together, and without any major injuries to the main players, this team is bound for something special this season. There is so much Reed bashing, doubts about KD, and so forth. The only player who is worrisome is Tari. He has shown in all the preseason games, especially last night, that he has a propensity for playing for himself and out of control. It might be due to this contract situation, but Ime should limit his time on the court if he is not playing in sync with the team. The team is awesome, and I look forward to a fun season with this team. They are very good and will only get much better as they play more together.

Well late in his career certainly.

Way to take a great uplifting post and attempt to take a personal shot......like I am not happy that Alpi finally has a 3pt shot....I am ecstatic....let's not conflate conversations without it, he was VERY Scola like, and I love Scola.....so.....meh!

Despite some of the weird hot takes, the only player to truly look awful was Tari. He was doing the same type of bullshit that got Cam Whitmore benched, if he keeps it up, it'll be interesting to see how Ime reacts.

Give them time to get their chemistry....even with all of those errors we BARELY lost......they won't get much better, while we will get a WHOLE LOT better.

No, nothing personal at all. I actually appreciate your comparisons, they’re honest and unfiltered, which makes them far more insightful. I also don’t buy into the whole “DD curse” idea, so I’m with you on this. Scola lovers are always at their best when we stand united. Literally.

Tari just doesn't feel like he fits this team anymore. All of the knuckleheads are gone for the most part and only he remains. Okogie and DFS feel like better alternatives right now. I'm a bit tired of this team's reliance on "lets just get an offensive rebound and create chaos" schtick. And Tari is exhibit A for that. It worked last year and year before when we just needed to scrap our way to wins. It's why I'm glad FVV isn't here. He is of that mold. I'd rather Reed develop (and if the year passes and Reed doesn't show capacity then go out and get a PG) or we move on to a player that's less streaky and random. I fee like all of FVV, Dillon, Jalen and Tari are random. They are either amazing or awful and there's no in between. We need to be rid of that.

Low key I feel Steven Adams is this as well. Also the whole "we need a real PG" is so overblown as well. Denver doesn't have one. Lakers don't have one. Warriors don't have one. Timberwolves don't have one. Thunder don't have one. They rely on combo players (Luka, Steph, Ant, Jokic/Murray, SGA) to get into actions.

Very good post, although I’m not going to lump Tari into that just yet. I do think it has more with being blinded by the spotlight with him. He sucked in the playoffs. He is a really good off the bench role player and is still relatively inexperienced (due to injuries). He also feeds off the crowd when at home. Sometimes you just take the good with the bad, you just don’t overpay for it.

So it is more likely 17/4/7 instead of 18/6/6 ....that is more Amen or Ausar's statline with OTE.

Washington has the tools to make it to 12th place if they figure out how to shorten the rotation and who to keep......play Defense.

I don’t know what Bofff means, but we have struggled on in-bound passing ever since Ime got here. That is not disputable. Once the ball got put in play, we easily progressed up the court. It was after we got in the half court that we struggled. Amen and Sengun were fine in breaking down the defense, but they will get exhausted without somebody else stepping up.

I missed the game because of a meeting, but reading the posts, I guess we lost by thirty points. Too bad we were blown out. Wasn't OKC last year's champion?

Dude, they beat the Celtics on the road last year. Same with the game six against the Warriors.

Well their 2nd best player wasn't playing so yea they'll get alot better too Lol. Especially from 3pt range. But nonetheless I'm not scared of them, just gotta get a PG. Sucks that FVV is out, with him this team could go all the way.

That was a hell of a game, but the team often looked disjointed. "Point guard by committee" definitely needs work. Despite that, we nearly pulled off a win in double overtime on their home court. Alpi Sengun was pretty amazing.

OKC did not want to lose on the night that they received their rings. They picked up the defensive intensity, this was not a random tuesday january NBA game.
