If Amen is going to be our PG, he desperately needs to average .33 or so from 3. They just sagged off him last night, which isn't a massive deal when he's an offball forward who can cut with a head of steam. As a PG, however, it seemed to throw off everything.

Amen is clearly a forward and one of the top five defenders in the league when he plays that role. While the lack of depth at PG forces this experiment, I’m skeptical about how well it will translate for him. His ball-handling remains inconsistent, and he still lacks key point guard trait, most notably the ability to effectively initiate the P&R.

0-7 from 3…. We can’t survive with that

also I’m hoping he’s not injury prone

Sheesh, he had a good game and was a reasonably decent point guard

He turned the ball over 4 times to only 5 assists and scored only 18 points on 17 shots. That's not a good game, and he wasn't a reasonably decent point guard.

He was pretty bad....but we still nearly won anyway. That should be seen as a positive.

Probably a cramp and couldve played but after Tatum/Haliburton teams are going to take ZERO risks now.

Happy with his performance and looked way more in control than at any point last season. Needs to learn somehow (4 T.O.s not great and 0/7 from 3 not great either) and watching Fred pound the ball for 46 minutes ain't it. Now if Reed could just grow up on defense we'd be in business.

what i don't understand is has no one taught him how to dribble the ball his whole career? man damn near carries it every dribble.

That's not how it works. The **** brother gets paid a contract so you can low key pay the good brother more money. See: Giannis' siblings.

Him taking 7 three pointers at all when it wasn't falling was surprising. I think he's really determined to shoot it better this season, but something was off last night versus the preseason games. Felt like he was forcing it/rushing his shot. Hopefully he'll get back on track in the next game.

That was really the only big problem with his play last night. At times it looked like he could get to the rim basically whenever he wanted.

It’s 1 game in a long season. People get way too high and way too low. No player has turned a corner or regressed in 1 game. I think Amen will show improvement in his 3PT shot.

If Amen is wide open, he has let ot fly. He will get there, eventually.

Extremely critical of everyone else except your boy Reed. LMAO pathetic. 18 pts on 17 shots still better than 9 pts on 11 shots.

Amen is great he guarded Shai and kept him in check for most of the game. If only Tari and Reed didnt play like ass we would've won. Hell if Okogie didnt give Shai that 4 pt play when Amen already defended him perfectly we would've won
