Good to see some of you are right about this loss - it's one game against the defending changes. Game one without our floor general. There is a ton of time left to figure this out whether it's internally or by trade. The preseason (yes, the preseason) and this game proved to me that last year wasn't a fluke. They deserve to be in the legitimate contending discussiion.

And yes, Tari looked terrible. Looks to be pressing trying to prove why he deserves whatever number he was asking for. Hopefully he settles in and lets the game come to him.

This is all assumption and conjecture. Players will play if they want that contract. Many will play because that’s how they’re wired regardless of the situation. You’re questioning his character, motives and intentions which no one knows what’s going through his mind. He’s not the first player to play going into free agency next season.

Concerning part to me is Sheppard. They’re playing a developmental player on a team full of seasoned vets ready to win.

It sucks to lose this game but its hard to be mad at a 2OT game against the champs. Rox big ball is legit and had the lead for most of the game. Some thoughts I had:

*We win this game by a blowout if Chet hadnt been in god mode. No way he plays like this every game otherwise he should be in MVP talks

*Big ball works. KD is as good as advertised. I saw here he had some brain farts at the end but the dude still played great overall

*Sengun is gonna be the best PF in the league lol.

*Tari was disastrous. Reed was a mixed bag. Okogie is a stud. I dunno why he was available for vet min we got a steal.

He game definitely does not match the money he’s asking for.

The Rockets are still getting chemistry, they almost beat the World Champs on their floor.

Nothing to worry about at all.

Agreed. I’ll take it. And Reed is going to be fine.

so true. What’s the point of starting a jumbo lineup if you just hang around the perimeter and take shots? There were huge mismatch opportunities all night that we didn’t exploit. Caruso or Dort on Sengun? Pound him to dust inside!!! Bari too.

I am not optimistic. Only reason game was close is they were without their second-best player and Sengun had a monster game.
It’s simple: you need to have some guards on a basketball team. we don’t. 21 TOs is something we’ll see quite often with this group. You can’t be elite if you don’t control the ball… Some steady old hand, the type of FVV or a Mike Conley would make us a much, much better team.

This franchise “almost beat” a lot of teams over the last decade.

I like it….the “almost beat them” squad has a ring to it!

Only the first game but lots of positives...........except Amen taking 7 threes and missing all 7. He was 8-10 in the other shots.

lol bingo….the rockets are a 42 win first round exit. KD won’t stay healthy ( it’s inevitable) and when he’s down this team is cooked; they may be cooked anyways w/o a pg. Thunder will run it back with ease this yr.
    Truth hurts folks

I wonder what JD would have done with 28 minutes of play.

Will, I think the organization and coaching staff agree with you that sticking with Reed in the regular season will pay dividends in the long run. Ime's brief to Reed so far has been for him to let it fly and he did tonight. Reed did not look freaked out by the moment. The turnover at the end of the game was in double overtime of game one against some real defensive studs. If more of Reed's shots fall and a few players convert his passes tonight the apparently all-important "reactions on this board" would be different. Remember, most people, including myself, operate more on confirmation bias and emotion than from a place of real understanding.

I think they will, it is just Adams and Sengün worked out against OKC last time so he went with it.....

but obviously with Durant everything goes Jumbo style.
