Hell yeah we do.. just on ball handling/getting people set/PG IQ alone he would've created at least 10+ more productive offensive possessions.

Definitely was a game we could’ve used a guy like Fred.

Fred can actually run the pick and roll. None of our players can run it effectively.

Last year with Fred at OKC we lost 126-107. Fred had 11 points and 2 assists in 30 mins. I knew idiots would romanticize FVV’s contribution as soon as Amen committed a couple of TO’s. Ridiculous takes all over the board. We miss FVV, but not on offense. He would’ve played better defense than Sheppard coming off the bench where he has belonged since midway through last year.

We missed Fred because he can actually handle the ball without turning it over. When Reed took the ball up he froze after 3 dribbles and KD had a bunch of costly turnovers as well. We miss Fred on both the offensive and defensive end plain and simple. Are you really trying to say the offense wouldn't have been better if Fred was out there instead of Reed at any point of the game?

Umm that was last season..Are you seriously going to act like a capable vet PG wasn't missed in this game? And I'm not even talking about Amen. He's the least of our problems.. multiple times the Rockets looked lost just bringing the damn ball up the ****ing court. How many back court/near back court violations did we freaking have? Amen even had to call a timeout at one point, because his teammates left him high and dry.

Fred destroyed the Thunder in that one game last year.

Anyway, Rockets couldn't even bring the ball up at times - it was Kenny Smith v Derek Harper. Something has to give there it can't be that your guards can't cross half court (granted the Thunder have elite pressure)

Fred is a floor general/coach like leader on the court.. hell yeah we missed that over the buffoonery we witnessed on multiple key possessions in this game.

Unbelievably low ball IQ take... FVV is better at setting up the offense and limiting turnovers... especially some of the comical ones we had late this game.... he would definitely be better at getting KD the ball in his spots as well.

That was also inexperience/ball handling issues from him too... he definitely still has issues picking up his dribble.

If anyone ever said the words POINT DURANT.... they don't know **** about basketball.... KD is far from a facilitator.... he's a play finisher/bucket getter... who excels when he's got a PG that can get him the ball in his spots ie Harden... or an offense with multiple playmakers that can ease the ball handling/playmaking load... And make it easier for him to just get into his bag in the half court.

No I’m saying our starting unit would’ve been worse with FVV walking the ball up the court and chunking up bad shots. Assists to TO is an empty stat when you are a pg averaging 5 assists a game and shooting
FVV fans often ignore his tremendous faults for someone with insane usage. The best pgs in the league often average a lot of turnovers. FVV was a terrible creator last year. He would be much better backup pg than Reed, but his presence would hold Amen back.

We would be the winner today if he was playing.

I don’t know about that, last year we didn’t have a “guy” in the clutch. That might of led to FVV taking that role.
This year is much different with Sengun being able to space the floor and KD on the team.

I felt like KD was kinda phased out in the 4th and OT. I think FVV would be able to get KD and the rest of the team in position to make better plays FOR KD.

Sheppard had to step into a major role, while having minimal playing time last year. This is probably his first time playing meaningful basketball. I don’t think he did a great job, definitely has a lot to work on. At the same time though we are competing for a championship

People are really wild thinking we got better losing FVV or even that it doesn't matter at all.

I know he's annoying, sometimes he chucks and its really annoying, but he was a big reason we even had a chance against GSW.

Now, we're going to win a lot of games on talent alone, most teams won't have the defense that OKC has, but yall kidding yourselves if you think we can win a championship without a PG. Unless Amen or Reed just turns into a great PG midseason we should be active at the deadline to try and bring in someone.

Most nights we're going to be fine though since most nights we won't be playing OKC.
