Clutch and Ben Dubose talking about Tari and FVV for Derrick White on YouTube right now. Obviously I’d do that too.

You really replied to me with offensive stats. As if everyone doesnt know Payton is a better shooter than Tari. [IMG] Some of ya'll have clown tendencies on here man. You pulled up his stats and said he was sixth man like I didnt know that already :D This place is good for a few laughs.

It would include picks too, But the salaries would work. The picks would be what you sell Boston on.

This list is disgusting. Tari Eason is better than all these players combined. The Rockets control his RFA rights. They are much better off keeping him this season and seeing how his restricted free agency pans out than trading for one of those end of the bench players.

Agreed, just keep Tari and let the chips fall where they may. The goal this year is championship right? Re-evaluate at the end of the season when the number and quality of games he's played this season is known. If he balls out and you have to pay more than you would have this year to keep him, that's just how the cookie crumbles. If he has another injury-filled season with inconsistencies, then you dodge a long-term commitment that didn't have to be made.

Dwhite is different he is better than PP imo. DWhite is a really good 2 way player if all it takes is Tari and dead FVV salary I might go for that.

Hell no, their impact on the court is night and day. Tari has elite on court impact for a role player. Pritchard is a forever-bench guy.

Can’t believe anyone would do this without them throwing in a good FRP.

Pritchard had a better year last year than any year Tari has ever had…

That’s an absolutely ridiculous statement. Pritchard has never had a season as good as Tari’s worst. Tari would get twice the minutes and money as Pritchard on the Celtics.

Think logically for a moment, if Tari got paid Pritchard’s salary his agent would become a laughing stock. His market value is almost double of Pritchard.

Do you honestly think that if both players are FA’s and everyone had cap space, Pritchard would get offers like Tari?

If you see him that low, I’m not surprised you’re making these statements. However it’s important to understand you’re an extreme outlier with this opinion.

Go to a Celtics board and suggest the trade, ask them to vote for who wins the trade. I’ll do it for you if you like.

Okay, so if we are to believe Tari's mom. Then that means Stone lowballed him and didn't even give him the 15M per since that's what puts us below the 1st apron next year. It's hard for me to believe Stone wouldn't even offer 15m. If Tari's mom isn't blatantly lying, then Tari's camp is definitely not expecting 20M~ per because that's what his peers who have better numbers, healthy and accomplishments are getting since the Eason family are givers not takers right?

Like what reason is there for Stone to not even offer 15M per year to Tari? That doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't think it is necessarily lying but I guess people try to maintain a 60 percent outward decency. Wholesome positive PR.

When it comes to negotiations, both sides become predators.

Yeah go ahead and go to the Celtics board and ask because you are way off on this.

Pritchard was 6th man of the year last year and you are saying that season wasn’t as good as Tari’s worst?? Now THAT is a ridiculous statement.

    28 mpg 47 Fg% 62 eFg% 40 3pt % 85 Ft% 14 ppg

I don’t think low of Tari at all, I just don’t see a big gap between him and Pritchard. You act as if Tari hasn’t had ample opportunity to earn a starting role here…you act as if Stone should have paid him whatever he wanted…but there is a reason he didn’t. He was clearly the most expendable between he and Jabari. Stone knew that.

Tari is a great hustle guy, a great glue guy, but he’s never going to be a 40% 3 point shooter, never going to have a high eFG. At the end of the day he is replaceable and Pritchard would fill a need for this team perfectly in our Championship window, with the obvious caveat that if Reed has a serious break out first half this wouldn’t be necessary. It’s also about getting value for Tari because we aren’t going to match in RFA.

As I suspected but honestly I didn't want to insult you with the accusation, but you are thinking at a very shallow and offense-only level. So it makes total sense to me why you're claiming these things. Yes, Pritchard is a more efficient offensive player than Tari. However, he is literally objectively more impactful on the final score than your 6th man of the year. This is despite the fact that Pritchard is taking open shoots off elite players while Tari's impact remains the same no matter who's around him. This is the first time in his career that Tari will play with a better player than Jaylen Brown or Tatum.

Yes of course a potential starter is better than a 6MOY. A 6MOY is a bench player who's an offensive sparkplug, they don't even count half of the game of basketball for that award (defense). I can't believe you're using that as evidence tbh. That's why the winners are almost always microwave scorers. Microwave scorers are for benches. Tari Eason is a 2% improvement in 3PT% away from being a $30m+ player. Payton Pritchard is a 27 year old who's going to peak this season by taking a higher volume of shots on lower efficiency and that's it, that's his ceiling.

This is not rational. I'll post this for you on a Celtics board, but I want to be sure you won't make me do the work for you and then turn around and say "Well who cares what they say" when it doesn't suit you. Can I count on you to change your mind if I prove my point that even Pritchard-homers don't agree with you?

I love how you just disregard the stats when it doesn't suit your narrative. Just admit it. Hes a bettter offensive player than Tari by the numbers, and its not close. Its funny that you attempt to degrade him and the award by calling him a "microwave scorer". and then you try to boost Tari calling him a "potential starter". Nice attempt by you but they are both bench players.

Also you are flat wrong about Pritchard's impact. He doesn't have less impact on the final score if he plays more minutes, scores more points, and does so more efficiently than Tari .

Why are you acting like being a knock down shooter isn't the most valued skill in the entire league when it comes to role players? It obviously is, you know that. To Tari's credit, he is extremely impactful when he is on the court while not being even close to a knock down shooter and that is hard to do. But don't act like knocking down shots created by stars somehow makes them less impactful.

Go ahead and see what the Celtics fans tell you, you aren't going to be happy

I remember you accused me of having a shallow ,offense only understanding before when you said that Jalen Green's defense made up for his offensive shortcomings...How did being a Jalen Stan work out for you? Is there another chapter of your novel coming out?

lol Tari is not "2% away from being a 30m+ player." He's nowhere near that level at the moment. He's averaged under 40 games played the last two seasons. He has a career .542 TS%, which is exactly the same as Jalen Green. He doesn't really create for others, hence his lower assist numbers. He turns the ball over way too much and gets too few rebounds for a forward. And yes, Tari is terrific on defense, but I actually prefer Bari as a defender because his versatility, and Amen is on a different level. Tari is fantastic as a disrupter off the bench - I actually don't think, at least for the Rockets, that he's a great starer. Pritchard would start for the vast majority of teams in this league. He'll likely start a ton of games this year.

By the way, I believe Tari playing with a great player may bad for him. With respect to offense, I actually think he could thrive in a situation where he was a larger focus of the offense. On the Rockets, though, I wouldn't be surprise if his raw offensive numbers went down this year.

Even the advanced metrics arguably favor Pritchard. Last season, Pritchard had a better BPM (3.4 v. 3.2) and a much better VORP (3.2 v. 2.0). Yes, Tari Eason had a better DPM (2.6 v. .2), but Pritchard had a much better OPM (3.4 v. 1.0). As such, it's not just about a pure offensive player as you suggest v. a more well-rounded, potential starter - both, arguably, have a similar impact on games, it's just one is more offensively inclined, and one more defensively inclined.

Would think they would rather part with Pritchard than White.....

I see White as the closest one get to AS without being an actual All Star.
