None of Kyle's assistant have been good head coaches. Why would Demeco be different?

Very poorly coached and undisciplined team. 3 critical personal foul penalties and a ****ed up kickoff.

IDK. Saleh went to the Jets…enough said. Mike worked some voodoo that first year and got Tua paid but Tua is finally succumbing to the brain scramblies. Plus, Miami has been a mess since Marino retired.

The coaching staff needs to be held accountable.

Too many stupid penalties 3 years in a row.
    Terrible play calling

Great DC but he is not a HC that will win you games.

Yea, I hate to say it, but he is a helluva a DC but has not proven he can take the next step. He says all the right things, but I imagine he is not having much fun right now. I love Demeco, but sometimes the next step up the is not the ideal spot to be in and unfortunately this team has gone backwards..........was year one a fluke, I have no clue, we have won the division two years in a row but I dont see us doing it this year, we have wasted CJ`s rookie deal and if I am being honest, paying CJ $60 million per year will only set us back further not being able to pay others..............Will has to get paid to, then Lassiter and the list keeps growing, something has to give

DeMeco doesn't seem to have that attention to detail and discipline that give the great coaches an advantage.

I hope he wouldn’t mind this but it would have to be for a ex head coach who has ran a team before not another first time head coach

There is a zero % chance he is taking a step down to DC. We need to clean house we are moving in the wrong direction and destroying a potential franchise QB. At worst he could be Darnold/Baker level but we are destroying him. Demeco Caley GONE. Caserio flaming hot and potentially gone as well. OFFENSIVE HEAD COACH PLEASE

So Laiken Tomlinson getting snaps was Demeco's decision. I'm starting to think he's the root of all our problems.

Yeah, can we go get one of those offensive geniuses? :p

I’m only half joking (do want an offensive HC) but offense is the name of the game. @ReliantTexan is right. Can probably hire a DC that won’t be poached away. (As opposed to cycling through OCs because they’re bad or being poached every 2 years)

Offensive Nick Sirianni - DC Vic Fangio
Offensive Kyle Shanahan - DC Robert Saleh
Offensive Sean Payton - DC Vance Joseph
Offensive Andy Reid - DC Steve Spagnulo
Offensive Ben Johnson - DC Dennis Allen
Offensive Brian Schottenheimer - DC Matt Eberflus
Offensive Kevin O’Connell - DC Brian Flores
Offensive Kellen Moore - DC Brandon Staley
Offensive Kevin Stefanski - DC Jim Schwartz

Offensive coaches, paired with failed defensive head coaches (but good DCs)

Offensive Shane Steichen - DC Lou Anarumo
Offensive Mike LaFleur - DC Jeff Hafley (former Boston College HC)
Offensive Dan Campbell - DC Kelvin Sheppard
Offensive Sean McVay - DC Chris Shula
Offensive Liam Coen - DC Anthony Campanile
Offensive Jim Harbaugh - DC Jesse Minter
Offensive Dave Canales - DC Ejiro Evero
Offensive Zac Taylor - DC Al Golden
Offensive Brian Daboll - DC Shane Bowen
Offensive Mike McDaniel - DC Anthony Weaver
Offensive Brian Callahan - DC Dennard Wilson

Defensive Mike Vrabel - OC Josh McDaniels (the one case where he doesn’t have to worry about losing his OC)
Defensive Todd Bowles - OC Josh Grizzard
Defensive Mike MacDonald - OC Klint Kubiak
Defensive Sean McDermott - OC Joe Brady
Defensive Mike Tomlin - OC Arthur Smith
Defensive Raheem Morris - OC Zac Robinson
Defensive Dan Quinn - OC Kliff Kingsbury
Defensive DeMeco Ryans - OC Nick Caley
Defensive Jonathan Gannon - OC Drew Petzing
Defensive Pete Carroll - OC Chip Kelly
ST/Defensive John Harbaugh - OC Todd Monken
Defensive Aaron Glenn - OC Tanner Engstrand

Best case: you’re like the Bucs, your offense is so good & QB is so good, your OC is getting poached every 2 years. (Canales & Coen)
Worst case: you’re like the Texans, you keep whiffing and have to hire a new OC every 2 years.
    Either way: cycling through OCs

    He was the one!

Demeco is an extremely likable personality. He is the kind of person you would like to get to know and socialize with. I bet the McNairs absolutely love him. And there is the rub. It is going to be hard to part with him. If he is to survive, he needs to surround himself with a top level supporting staff. That is not easy to do.

I'd be fine keeping Demeco as HC but they need to quit looking for the next up and coming OC and get one with experience and a real track record of success.
