I guess Tari and Cam ended up having more in common than we thought. Not a surprise since they always seemed to be around each other outside the locker-room. I would call up Boston at the deadline and see if they're willing to deal Derrick White. Tari and his mom are die-hard Celtics fans so it would work for both parties.
Now that this is in the rear view, it's time to focus on the season. I think there is a good chance Tari is traded by the deadline. Hopefully he breaks out big time and the Rockets keep him the entire year as they make a championship run.
Well we would have to include picks. They've only gotten worse losing Holiday, Kornet, and Porgzinis along with Tatum out so highly likely this is a wasted season for them anyway.
Tari will be on the open market next offseason and the Rockets won't be your only competition for him. The market will determine how much and where he signs.
The fact that he had that big injury scare is actually why I thought he would be more flexible to make a deal and get something secured long term first.
We're not longer invested in him so we might as well. It's his risk to take now, not ours. Squeeze everything out of him you can before he leaves.
Tari betting on himself is risky and not worth it for him. If he can’t stay healthy he will become a prove it/journey man guy the rest of his career.
Nobody, including Tari, knows what is right for his career. This is a gamble a boatload of players have lost. This is what he THINKS is right for his career. I wish him the best wherever he ends up.
