I am prez of the Tari fan club, but $20 mil per is probably the most the org should do. He just hasn’t earned more than that up to this point. His availability and lack of shooting keep him below that number. The guys making over $20 are either really good shooters or have made all defense, and they havent missed a ton of time like Tari. Even Dillon was our best shooter the last two seasons. I get that being a 6th man works against him and that he’s good enough to start, but he needs to play a full season before he can really make that argument.

Losing Tari would suck and I don’t mind a slight overpay, but a significant overpay would be bad for the org. If his agent negotiated the Pat Williams contract he’s probably unreasonable. That’s possibly the worst contract in the league. Both side need to compromise if he wants to be here. If he doesn’t want to be here that not anything we can control.

I hope it works out. I think the best of Tari is yet to come.

I'm not sure Grimes is a Udoka kind of player, but for sure I think Tari is on the trade block if he doesn't sign a team friendly deal. He's by far the most expendable piece of the young core due to him being at the deepest position on the team.

I get that Tari is probably asking for too much but the org gave Jalen green $36 mil per after 3 bad seasons. And while I like the Bari contract, he just hasnt played that well through his 3 yrs. So these guys have been paid on future expectation. I get why Tari thinks he deserves a good payday. Hopefully both sides will compromise. I don’t think anyone here knows what we are offering Tari. but I do think if they can’t agree to an extension Tari will be traded. They aren’t gonna let him get an offersheet in the offseason that risks losing him for nothing. That would be really really dumb.
