    Of Argentina.

Not only did he screw over farmers on soybeans with China now buying Argentina soybeans. He now is going to buy 40 billion dollars of Argentina beef. Who needs Texas beef when you can get Argentina beef. But you Trump glazers have fun owning libs while real hard working farmers suffer

This is going to be a big political point in the Midwest for the midterms.

It is amazing. He is literally doing everything he can to **** over a group of his voters --- because he knows ultimately, they will still support him.

****s over soybean farmers and then follows it up with beef ranchers ....... waiting for him to announce that he will be buying Venezuelan oil.

What you want is to own the conservatives. Further polarization of our country aside, the real problem here is that the farmers will just go bankrupt then sell to private equity. It's not a long-term good outcome. Corporations and oligarchs are already the problem. We don't want them to become richer and more powerful.

Yeah, that kind of thinking is what got us in this mess.

It's totally understandable given the climate (I sometimes feel that way myself). But longterm... you're absolutely right.

I genuinely don’t care what happens to these farmers and wish the absolute worst for them…I hope they all go bankrupt and lose everything

y’all can blame corporations and oligarchs till the cows come home, but these farmers got destroyed by Trump’s tariffs during his 1st term, and then voted for tariffs again…there’s only one reason why they’d do that

Now we gotta bail these turds out yet again? Meanwhile, the people they wanted to see get hurt don’t get any bail out whatsoever. Fck these farmers 24/7, 365

You aren't wrong. You should FO when you FA. I don't have sympathy for their plight.

And I'm not blaming the corps/oligarchs for the farmer's actions. That's on them. I'm calling attention to the outcome.

The median total household income for U.S. farm households in 2023 was $97,984, with the median from farming itself being a loss of $900. Most farm households rely on off-farm income, which had a median of $79,900 in 2023, to supplement or provide their primary income.

Income breakdown for farm households (2023)
    • Median total household income: $97,984
    • Median income from farming: -$900 (a loss)
    • Median off-farm income: $79,900
    That's more than most people
