Reed really needs to improve his defense substantially before the Rockets consider starting him or giving him more than 25-30 minutes. Pretty much every OKC player with a hint of ball-handling skills was licking their chops every time Sheppard was on the floor.
Playoffs? He wasn’t playable last night. BBQ chicken defensively. His handles are poor for a guard. He can make an occasional good pass, but he’ll follow that up with a turnover. He’s forcing shots off balance. He ignored KD several times. I was very disappointed. To me he’s still a rookie. At this stage he’s an undersized shooting guard. he deserves time to figure it out, but holy crap he’s nowhere near ready to take on a big role. Should Reed start? Are u f#cking kidding me?
