Rockets Legend Kevin Durant Agrees 2 Year/$90 Million Extension & Player Option In 2027-2028

    BREAKING: Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant has agreed to a two-year, $90 million contract extension with the franchise, his business partner and Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman tells ESPN. The new deal includes a player option in 2027-28.

    Durant was eligible for a max extension of $120M, but understood when he chose the Rockets as a trade destination that he'd be sacrificing money – in this case around $30M less – so that the sides can partner for the long term and give the franchise team-building flexibility.

    Kevin Durant now holds the record for the highest career earnings in NBA history at $598.2 million based on current and future salaries, surpassing LeBron James ($583.9 million). He has a total of 3 years and $144.7 million on his current contract with the Houston Rockets.

    Yikes. I guess you do what you have to do, but I don't think there's any way KD is worth what he'll be getting in his final season.

    we were paying Jalen 35 mil to be 20x worse

    2 year rental for him and FVV to finalize grooming the kids. By the time this contract ends Sengun will be going into year 7, Jabari year 6, Amen year 5 and Reed year 4.

    Not sure how the #s are going to work with Amen and Reed though.

    KD gave a bigger discount than FVV smh.

    Anyway this is a fantastic deal he could have signed for 60 per. Lebron is still effective at age 40 there is no doubt in my mind KD will be the same. He may get slower but he wont lose his height and shooting touch.

    Stone continuing to make his doubters look dumb
