When the TVs are actually on sale
They usually discount the B series more
But if you are at Costco yeah C series is the choice

I've got some time to watch the prices around Black Friday and beyond here using this old D-ILA set with the new bulb arriving tomorrow. See what happens here. Interesting thing about D-ILA technology, they are still selling the sodium bulbs/cases for this TV 20 years later. This means there is demand for the bulbs and D-ILA sets rule for longevitity. They say this TV has no moving parts the way it works (but I think excluding fans I think are in there). I guess that matters. Else, you wouldn't still be able to easily get the bulbs I wouldn't think. Right there on Amazon. Or, maybe they overproduced the bulbs on elevated expectations of D-ILA technology adoption that didn't take off? Either way.

Correction…it’s the C4…not C5… at $1199…which is last years model which I’m fine, and Copilot is fine, with. The C5 is actually $1499. Hmm. Just keeps getting more expensive. lol

Ah...but the C5 is only $1289 on Amazon but without the free extended five year warranty and included delivery.

Everybody can get LG Partner prices. I joined and qualified only because I have a Hulu/Disney+ account (which itself was on sale for something like $4 or $7/month). See if they accept Hulu accounts to create a Partner account. The prices you're quoting here from Costco/Amazon are a few hundred more than it would cost you through the LG Partner Program.

Someone told me in the past they couldn't get into the Partner Program anymore with a new Hulu account, but I can still get the prices and order with my existing Hulu account, so ... I dunno.

Alexa+ says it’s still under contract for Hulu Perks and new/existing Hulu subscribers. Notice I didn’t use Copilot! ;)

It also said some discounts just ended in Aug 2025 and it wasn’t sure on any new discount offers. Thanks, honey!

what is current price there for c5 model? Is it discounted?

Currently out of stock while you consult with your lady AI's! lol. It may come back in stock. They often go out of stock for weeks, though.

C5 65" is showing back in stock again for me... with the 10% coupon it's showing as $1133.99 for the TV. But you can also add a free wall mount (not sure how good it is), the LG xBoom Grab Core speaker, and the SC9S 3.1.3 Soundbar speakers to your cart and get them for free.

You can get an LG G5 65" AND the S90TR 7.1.3 soundbar + sub for $1620 AND that includes a free wall mount and installation (though I wouldn't trust the installation), so, no... the $1999 at Costco is not necessarily the deal. The Costco sale has the extended warranty going for it, but you have to ask if that's worth $370 to you (when compared to the LG deal, it sure isn't to me). Hell, that soundbar by itself sells for around $1200 at some stores. I don't like most soundbars, so I won't comment on quality of the soundbar, but it's not a low-end one. At one point they were also throwing in an LG xBoom Bounce Core, but I'm not sure if it's still in stock or part of the deal.

EDIT : The 65" B5 he shows for $999 was being sold for under $900 on LG's Partner store just a week ago. Sorry... NO DEAL!

But, what if you don’t have access to the LG partner store? Yes, the partner store deals can be very good, but I think you need to be employed by a partner or work for the Gov’t. Right?

Thanks for reminding me about the Partner store, I have access through my work and that 65 B5 is looking nice for just $899. Maybe it's worth waiting until closer to Black Friday for an even better deal. Hmmm...

    That sucks.
We have a Cosco finally being built in my area, actually less than a mile from my house, but it won't be completed until next spring.

G5 alone is worth $1620. Very happy with the G3.

If the TV breaks down within the Costco warranty period, then it's worth it on the Costco purchase. If it doesn't, then probably not and the LG Partner Store is the better deal. Someone must choose!

I should maybe go back from 65" down to 55" and get the G5 end of year sale? It's still considerably more than a 65" C5. But, like I said, the room gets the light. So, mini-LED is still under consideration for that and their brightness.

    You'd consider a C5 65 vs G5 55? And like the idea of brightness?

    Classic - go with the 65in G4 or G5 scenario - IMO.

You can buy an extended warranty through the LG Partner store, too, and it'd still be a better deal. Of course, I don't know what kind of hassle you'll have with these extended warranties.

I mentioned this before in the thread, but I got access to the LG Partner store because I had a Hulu/Disney+ subscription I got for something like $3-$4/month. I read somewhere they may not be allowing it anymore, but others say they do, so I don't know what's true. I do know that I still have access to the program.
