If the jays lose, it's like last season. No team to root for. But f Seattle.

Developing players is important. The Stros and Dodgers have pretty much proved that.

The Dodgers also acquire/sign (and re-sign) key glue guys like Edman, Kike. The Betts trade remains the biggest "power shift" in this current era given how good Boston was in 2018 with him and how LA has taken off since then (also, none of those "prized prospects" did anything for Boston). And they continue to develop the other positions via the farm system.

Yes, they don't lose anybody they wanted to keep. But they also do the other stuff better than most other teams that have the ability to make the same moves.

Lets also hope the Stros farm system either develops true stars/contrubtors... or nets trades for said star/contributor. Its been somewhat dormant/stuck in the middle over the last 2-3 years (but there are seedlings for both... and not counting the past-hype/elder guys like Melton, Whitcomb and Dezenso).

not gonna argue about developing players. however, none of dodgers' superstars are from their system.

Oh I know. They've gone heavier of FA and Intl signings in the past few years.
