They think he is overweight. I bet it is the same crowd that always talks about fat women. Nix has very good court vision and if he can ever develop a shot will be get a regular NBA contract.

    Carlos Boozer.

I also retract my statement- the 3rd greatest Alaskan player. Apologies to Trajan Landon.

Yeah, I am hopeful he finds his NBA game, he is wicked smart with a great passers eye.

This is a smart emergency signing.

Professional athletes being overweight is not the same as fat women on the street. Weight ties to a player's performance. (People also talk about guys like Zion and Harden being overweight at times.)

Agreed that he has good court vision. His problem, in addition to bad shooting, is his speed. He is just too slow to play PG at NBA level without a good shot. The weight thing might have something to do with it.

Mario Chalmers is definitely better than Nix.

He is a fun guy .....sure I think the jokes are not personal, there were more serious stuff against Jalen Green.

As for his game, I do not know but I feel he is going to bounce around the margins of the NBA for another few years, he is just not that talented to me.

In other words, the NBA is just full of talented people, a slightly less talented one has a hard time sticking out while in Europe he can be Jalen Brunson.

We traded Cam to make room for our boy

This signing makes me feel like our rebuild is already on the decline…

The thought right now is that Nix may replace Davison once season begins. Stone likes Nix more as a pure point guard. Hope that’s not the case.

You have a great attitude….just giving you a hard time. Seriously do you not recall how bad this guy was when under Silas. Very slow, very poor shooter, and very non-clutch free throws. Always missed at least one of two. I am haunted by those days and don’t want him anywhere near this promising squad.

He isn't going to be anything more than a RGV 4th emergency option......he was very good at RGV, he isn't good in the NBA but is at the GLeague level.

It was a good signing for a minor league player to play in the minor league.

He is also young enough that he can still get better......but no promises there.

no they re-signed him to play G league

“The Vipers hold Nix’s returning rights and acquired McConnell’s in a multi-team trade earlier this week, so it’s highly likely that both players will be waived in the next 24 hours or so and then report to Houston’s NBAGL affiliate. Assuming they received Exhibit 10 contracts, which is likely, they’ll each earn a bonus worth up to $85,300 if they spend at least 60 days with the Vipers.”

His 0.3 points, 1.0 assists and 1.3 turnovers will be invaluable for our championship push.

The Rockets need to do the same for Ulrich Chomche who was waived by Portland.
