I really dislike everything about Seattle. Cheering that Springer got hurt is typical of the losers who live there. I will be cheering for the Jays to win the next two.

Yea I know they're separate things, that's why I'm asking WTF are they talking about? It's obvious they're using HR hyperbole for the casual viewer. Tonight, they again added to his HR total without mentioning the difference. Just weird.

Yeah the only way I see them losing in the WS is if the bullpen implodes. It would have to be the Mariners as well. There’s no way this Jays team is beating the Dodgers 4 times.

That A's team was the premiere "Dodgers" team of its day. The Reds a huge underdog. Reds swept the A's, considered one of MLB's biggest upsets

Yeah, I get that. They aren’t more talented than this Dodgers team.

What Ohtani is doing right now is absurd, to be at this level as a hitter and pitcher is video game s**t.

I get that people are sick of the hype train around him, but it is 100% warranted. This isn't once in a generation talent it's 150 years of ball and we've never seen it.

A Dodgers and Mariners World Series? The two most insufferable fanbases. This will be the third year in a row I skip the World Series. I’ll watch anyone but the Dodgers, Mariners, Yankees, and Rangers. I should have had favorable odds. 26 teams!

That might have been the greatest performance in all of sports history when you factor in the difficulty of what he did last night.

Can't even front. Credit where it's due. 10 Ks and 3 bombs is unreal and Jordan-esque. Some of his pitches were absolutely filthy too.

Astros should be playing but ownership decided to be cheap.

Bob Gibson pitched a complete game with 10K and hit a bomb, winning Game 7 of the '67 WS (he went 3-0 with 3 CG and 3R allowed in the Series)

He also pitched a CG with 10K and hit a bomb in Game 4 of the '68 WS

Not saying any of that's more impressive, I'm just saying Bob Gibson was a certified badass.

paying for players doesn't guarantee you'll win

look at the mets. look at the yankees. look at the padres.

it works for the dodgers tho
