I had my covid and flu vaccines last year at the behest of my doctor (not yet this year) and I'm in no way anti-vax. But... the shingles vaccine can actually have some horrible side effects in rare cases. It can also lower the risk of dementia considerably according to one study.
Damn. Never heard of anyone getting divorced over being sick. It wasn’t fun. Woke up at midnight with a fever and shivering so bad my teeth were chattering, but I was hot at the same time. Took some ibuprofen and a Benadryl and was able to conk back out after a couple of hours. Woke up feeling slightly better but had that ‘flu’ feeling and was sweating all day. Better today though. Better than the alternative. And maybe I do have superpowers now.
Not sure I am a liberal, but yes, I am vaccinated and I made sure that my family was vaccinated as well.

FYI. The shingles vaccines was for me the single worst vaccine of my life. Arm hurt bad for two solid days, which I will gladly take over shingles.

I haven't gotten every booster for COVID but if my physician in November recommends it, I will get it. I haven't had any issues with COVID vaccinations other than a fever for a few hours, so I am willing to take the risk.
What institution? There were things people didn't know that became apparent later. The vaccine helps everyone. I the length and severity that also helps the elderly. But vaccines are for other things than just Covid. RFK has spoken out against tons of vaccines and was part of a group spreading disinformation.
I wish they would figure out a way to turn the shot into a pill or something.....................I am deathly afraid of needles, and I work myself into a tizzy before the flu shot, but I always go
