$$$ Just a limited number of players that make what Clint and Green make that the Rockets would want. DFS and/or Adams mixed in with either Green and /or Clint opens the Rockets options for matching salary.

I don't think getting Holiday or Tate to waive the NTC will be hard to do. For guys like them, trying to secure the next NBA contract will always be the primary goal. Rotting on a bench here doesn't do much for them

Pretty much all the veteran players except Durant and FVV will be in the trade mix if the PG situation looks like a problem mid season.

Example of an Adams and DFS trade without the draft compensation.

Probably Reed if he doesn’t show real improvement this yr. I’m worried, but would give him the full season to demonstrate real progress. If he doesn’t take a big step I think u consider shopping him on draft night.

Clint is the guy I’d for sure move by the deadline this season. I get that we are invested in the double big lineup and that Clint can still defend, but I’d rather have another shooter. I think we should be able to get away with a front court rotation of Sengun, Adams, Bari, Tari and DFS. I understand why they sign Clint but with Fred’s injury that cap space is better used elsewhere.

Josh Okogie... I do not understand what he is trying to do on the field.

I really think we can win it all this year but the backcourt could be a major issue for us.

If Reed just isn’t ready by the all star break I would use his salary to go after guys like Coby White, Collin Sexton, Ayo Dosunmo, or Quentin Grimes.

I dont think we need a full on game manager, we need another guy with a steady handle who can hit open shots and not get abused on defense.

The Derrick White’s of the world are unfortunately too expensive, but the above guys have reasonable salaries and can likely be had without losing major assets.

Who's most likely to be traded is not the same question as which player annoys you the most.

I don't see the point in swapping Holiday and Tate for other players on minimum deals. With the Rockets roster, the Rockets likely need to send out as many players as they receive such that they really can't aggregate much and stay below the 1st apron. Really can only trade one minimum at the deadline and not get a player back. Green is already the designated got a minimum contract to be aggregated player by waiving implied NTC such that he is the easiest and least valuable of the minimum contracts (unless Okogie keeps playing like he is).

God knows. Who becomes available determines who we give up, so.....

When Giannis becomes available, I would imagine our phone call would have to include Alperen Sengun and maybe even Tari. I don't know if I'd push all my chips in like that, but the conversation would be a non-starter otherwise.

    they are not
Then don’t start it. The Giannis to Rockets for Sengun or Amen has left the station never to return. Hate to open up this can of worms, but I wouldn’t trade either one straight up for Giannis.

Capela and his contract is the obvious trade candidate imo

Capela looks the likeliest based on what we could do with his contract. Tari if he gets more disgruntled and tries to force his way out.

That's before Fred went down, but we are still paying him alot to be a 3rd string center.
