Lol you literally said you expected them to look more like BTJ than Odunze. BTJ had 87 receptions, 87 receptions, 1200+ yards and 10 TDs his rookie season for reference.

    This post hasn't aged well.

Maye looks like a top tier QB, CJ not so much.

Maye has not done anything in the league. He wishes he had Stroud's resume. two playoff victories, offensive rookie of the year...

Maye will be and already is the better QB. Why do I say this because although both are very talented, it's obvious Maye has a better grasp of the same offense that both are running. This doesn't mean CJ cant become as good as Maye is in this offense. Plus the fact of Maye is in his 2nd season and CJ's in his 3rd. The main difference is Maye doesn't have Nico/Kirk type WR's to throw too.

Which QB appears to be ascending and which QB appears to be descending IYO?

Dude, Drake Maye is good, but come on. Texans still don't have Mixon. Maye's OC this year is a Super Bowl-winning OC who we know can scheme up an offense. The question would be if you swap teams, could Maye survive the growing pains of a new play caller? Maye has not had a passing game above 290 yards in his career, and his most TDs in a game is 3.

Yet he is averaging 8.5 YPA and doesn’t have near the receiving talent CJ does.

Stroud has been Jekyl and Hyde this season and last. Without one quarter of the Titans game and the Baltimore game, he’s struggled.
He has to build on to the last 5 qtrs and show who he is.
Maye has been better, that isn’t really a knock on CJ. I know that bothers you, but it’s up to CJ to prove he’s even a top 10 guy at this point.
    Hopefully he will

Again, reverse the situation...how would Maye do? Stroud was not good in the first 3 games, nor was his O-line. They have been better the last 2. As for receiving talent, Collins is better than anything the Pats have...but Maye has Diggs. I wouldn't say the Texans are better YET at receiver.

The Texans are far better at WR. That isn’t even a discussion.
I don’t think we lose those 3 games with Maye and the way he’s been playing. He provides a much higher rushing aspect to offset the early struggles of the Oline

LOL. You are delusional. It was Stroud's fault that the RB fumbled against the Rams, or the MLB missed a tackle on Mayfield on 4th and 10, or Nico fumbled - CJGJ blew a coverage - and Stroud hit from behind while having an OPEN WR downfield against the Jags (don't give me the check down BS...he had an open Kirk)? Maye would have similar struggles that Stroud and Caley have had.

What’s delusional is watching Stroud play terrible ball the first 3.75 games and blaming everyone else.
