Nah there's some hope. I don't think he was a Reed believer when he got drafted, so Reed should be fine.

He's coming off a finger or thumb injury. I think he had surgery as well.

Amen tried staying chill for a good three seconds, but bro just kept hanging on to him. Glad he left it at that. No need to deal with nonsense in the preseason.

They handled it well and moved on. I thought the refs were going to eject them

The double big lineup is dumb to me. Its a. Novelty, but that's it. The mere fact Reed isn't starting as the #3 pick is quite disturbing. Throw him in the water please and stop with this bs.

That much cap space? It's roughly half of the MLE. It's not very much cap space.

Neither Capella or Adams looked great on defense. Capella is more of a rim protector than Adams and both are pretty terrible outside of the lane. They are fine as backup centers and Adams is an amazing offensive rebounder. I hope we only see spurts of the two bigs lineup against the appropriate matchups.

Capela spent most of his time with Sheppard playing matador defense. Adams spent most of his time with the starters. Capella definitely looks slow. I think he was brought in strictly because they don’t want to play Adams big minutes or in back to backs until the playoffs.

Yet it's more than twice of the veteran minimum. Maybe it is a glass half full/half empty situation. One sees it as one's disposition dictates.

We needed a third center with Adams load balancing concerns. Landale was awful. Whether Capella is the answer is yet to be determined. He is definitely either out of shape or just plain done. We will know long before Dec. 15th and can adjust. Everybody presumes if we trade or add to the roster it will be a guard, but it could very well be both a guard and a 3rd center if Capella isn’t cutting it. If Adams is healthy come playoff time, Capella won’t see the floor.

Let's not forget the impact of not having JG taking 15-20+ shots per night on bad efficiency while players shooting 50%+ for the game were only getting 5-8 shots.

Given how Shawn Bradley is pretty much the only guy over 7'2" to have a long career, the money is against Wemby's body holding up to a lot of long, grinding NBA seasons, particularly if the Spurs start making the playoffs.

Honestly I'm kind of okay with Jabari spending some time at the 5 spot, and I think he's likely to be more impactful than Clint in 2025 basketball and at this stage of their respective careers. Capela does give us some nice added depth and a different look we can throw out there if he still has anything in the tank though. I've considered him a "nice to have" since we signed him, not an essential piece. In hindsight we probably should have spent that money on a better backup guard, but what's done is done
