Durant being held to 0, but still up 8. Going to suck when teams have to play the Rockets.

Ah the good ole "ask a question and when someone respond with something you don't like just pretend they're wrong" method of online engagement. If you want to just state your own opinion, just make a statement instead.

Reed needs either Sengun or KD to perform well and Sengun and KD needs more spacing. We’re really good when we run last years line-up Adam-Sengun-Jabari-Tari-Reed and KD plays amazing when Sengun is playing Center rather than PF

Reed is a good playmaker if Udoka feels they need playmaking besides Sengun, Amen and KD then Reed has a place in the starting spot.

If Udoka doesnt need playmaking Reed can come off the bench as other guys are bette defenders and can also shoot open 3s.

Bit of a mixed bag for Reed tonight.

The shooting was there, but the playmaking was a little shaky and he had some defensive lapses. I didn't like that he was off ball so much even with the bench group. I never envisioned a world where Tari would be bringing the ball up court, but it seemed intentional so what the hell do I know?

Yeah I like the starting lineup better with Reed (or don't mind Holiday). Adams can do what he does off the bench easily. Reed/Holiday really need to be around our best playmakers.

Reed and Jabari functioning purely as shooting threats is perfect to give Amen/Sengun/Durant enough breathing room. We're plenty big still with Sengun/Durant/Jabari frontcourt and Amen at guard.

If its just a shooting threat not sure what Reed brings that DFS or Tari wont. Defensively both those two are better than Reed.

DFS or Tari may shoot spot up worse than Reed, but they are way better defenders and rebounders. Also better at broken play scoring because they are taller and lengthier. If you watched the game while Reed shot efficiently he got hunted on defense by Poole and got taken out by Udoka due to that.

Holiday imo shouldnt even be part of the rotation. Bench should be Reed, whoever sits between Tari DFS, Adams, Capela and Akogie. Thats already a 10 man lineup.

KD coaching the kid up. KD might end up on the coaching staff after he retires.

We want Reed to have productive minutes if we want him to have trade value for where we drafted him. It's simple. The first 20 games of the season won't be made or broken by having him start. Give him minutes. Get his confidence up. Improve his trade value. Keep if we want but at least his trade value is up if we need options and we don't have to sell low.

We are trying to win a ring I think prioritizing seeding is important. KD wont be healthy all season long he is gonna go down and we will be screwed. We need to have wins banked up when that happens.

If Reed is good he will shine in that 6th man role just like Harden or Manu. Why the need to start? Jeremiah Fears came off the bench and scored 20. Tari came off the bench and scored 20. You dont need to start to make an impact.

We prioritized seeding last season and look how that worked out for us. OKC isn't any weaker this season and what made GS the difference maker was a fresh Jimmy Butler.

Because a starting lineup without a PG is garbage.

Yeah how did that work out for us? We had the best season since 2018. You act like last year was a failure.

Reed wasnt a diff maker last year his playoff stats were horrible so not sure what your point even is.

Maybe, but KD who is notroiously thrifty supposedly has 600 million in savings , so it isn't like he needs a job.

Inspite of what some may think, I root for Reed. Mainly, because he's a Rocket!

My concerns are, its his 2nd yr and we are STILL talking about what he is not good at; defense, consistency, and lack of playmaking. Last night Alvarado torched him on the defensive end, he had two costly turnovers, and after hitting his first shot, he went silent until the latter parts of the game against lesser competition. However, its still PRE-SEASON.

And I do understand that he's still young and he needs time to develop but the question is, will the Rockets let him continue down this road, if he does not take that leap?

Stone has already said this yr is pivotal for him AND his contract next yr is a TEAM OPTION.

You have to look deeper than that. Who is on the floor with Sheppard (Rockets and opponents) matters a lot.

Sheppard's plus/minus was the best of the second rotation group. He played awesome -- and when he's making 3's, the spacing on the court is amazing.

    GOOD DAY

Amen expected assists count was much larger. His decision making will get better as to when to take the shot and when to pass. Both he and Sheppard are going to pile up the hockey assists as well. Sengun or Amen should initiate the offense most every time with a bit of Durant and Reed sparkled in. Isolations for Durant and Jabari are also available. We don’t need a traditional pass first PG with this team and we certainly don’t need an FVV clone. Reed actually got to the hoop pretty effectively this last game, albeit not so much against starters. Amen gets into the paint at will and if his new free throw stroke is real, he will be a 20+ scorer most nights. Both he and Sengun need to quit hesitating to take the wide open 3’s. We are a very hard team to prepare for nowadays.
