There’s a reason why Amen was consensus Top 4 pick in the draft while Asur was around 8th. I would still say Asur is great role player in the end but Amen have a dog in him and with that physical ability he is getting much more out of it.

He plays a key role on this team as Adams is a pseudo starter in the double big and wont play back to backs.

Ausar also has that dog in him just like Amen however Amen is more athletic and gifted than him. Ausar also had that sickness that derailed him last year.

100% on free throws this game. The guy works harder on his deficiencies than anyone I have ever seen. He may average over 20 points this season. Needs to go ahead and take those floaters, but he will figure that out like everything else. He is going to take over the league.

Who sits though? Are you saying KD should continue to start at SG?

Adams had the biggest plus minus he might not put up stats but he allows Rox to dominate with his on court impact.

I didn’t think he was that bad. Sure he’s gained weight and lost a step but he’s not 20 yr old Capela anymore. He was still doing his job deterring drives to the paint. Rolled north south off the screen. switched out to perimeter shooters or cut off players off the screen when needed. Also had a key block late. 6 boards (2 off) 6 pts 1 block aint too bad.

His lateral quickness was bad and although he had a block he allowed to many drives in the paint, a lot of Fears scores were on him having bad paint protection.

I hope this is just rust.

And people called me crazy when I said I like him over Wemby lol

Amen is gonna have a Lebronesque career by the time his athleticism starts fading he will be a very skilled player and will get by on his length and skills.

    66% from 3, 9/9 on fts omg

I see a lot of Capela slander but we gotta remember he's the 3rd center. Really going to be hard to do much better than Clint as your 3rd center.

Yes, it's hard to do much better than Clint as your third center, but you don't pay your third center over 7 million a year, under the current financial rules. It is not his fault how much he's paid, but as a fan, you're right to expect more from a player who takes up that much cap space.

Reeds shot has improved. Form is way quicker, higher and closer to his body.

Disagree. He’s not the quickest but he doesn’t have to be. Adams isn’t quick laterally either. Like I said he did his job for the most part. He also deterred a couple of fears’ shots. You can’t block everything. Can he improve? Sure. As long as he’s rolling, protecting the rim, grabbing boards and getting to the perimeter when needed then he’s doing his job.

According to some people here he already came into the league with perfect shot mechanics.

Adams isnt quick laterally but he still provided adequate drop coverage and paint protection. I honestly didnt see Capela deter a lot of shots seemed like Fears scored on him right in his face a lot of times. He looked a step slow and had to foul a lot cuz he got blown by, I think he even fouled out despite playing just 20 mins. You dont usually see that from vets.

If Capela was deterring people just like Adams why was Adams +26 and Capela -23? lol I know single game plus minus is prone to error but this large of a disparity shows Adams was effective and Capela less so.

Capela seemed to me just a bit better than Jock Landale last year. Still not good enough if he is someone who will get regular PT. Like I said hope its just rust Capela didnt play much in Atlanta as they were grooming their new center.

Serious/non-smart@$$ question, who/what/where/when/how did this site get started?
I vaguely knew it existed maybe 10 years ago at least, but I've only been checkin it out since around 2018. Been a Rockets fan since '81, just didnt get online often, used to go on red94 but then that fizzled out.
I'm hella glad Clutchfans exists though, cuz it is necessary

That was hard to watch. His teammates missed him several times on the wing unguarded.
