Actually, most of them were released. Remember there was an earlier deal where a bunch were returned in return for a temporary reprieve? If AI is to be believed here (knock on wood), of the 251 hostages taken, 198 were returned or will be returned alive. Which is not to minimize their suffering, but it might be easy to inflate in one's mind how many have died when there are only 20 left in captivity. Don't be ridiculous. Palestine is even less free now then when all this crap started.

There are really only two groups that really talk about Griner. One doesn't focus on her much at all except as an example and don't focus on anything other than the injustice. And the other group that focuses on her and the fact that they can't get past her physical attributes and ignore everything else other than to try and portray her in a negative light and a symptom of something wrong with those opposed to abusive authoritarian injustice. It is clear which group you belong to.
