Pritzker compares Trump to Putin, calls for invoking 25th Amendment for
suggesting military use Chicago as "training grounds"

After President Donald Trump on Tuesday suggested cities like Chicago should be used as "training grounds for our military," Gov. JB Pritzker said the 25th Amendment should be invoked to remove the president from office, saying "there is something genuinely wrong with this man."

"It appears that Donald Trump not only has dementia set in, but he's copying tactics of Vladimir Putin. Sending troops into cities, thinking that that's some sort of proving ground for war, or that indeed there's some sort of internal war going on in the United States is just, frankly, inane and I'm concerned for his health," Pritzker said Tuesday afternoon. "There is something genuinely wrong with this man, and the 25th Amendment ought to be invoked."

It would be nice if a Republican governor had made the same statement. Unfortunately, they all appear to be cowards, willing to sell out their country in the service of a wannabe oligarch, apparently bent on becoming a dictator.

more empirical evience that Trump has lost it

Trump went on to specifically tout the magic healing power of these fictional med beds.

“These facilities are safe, modern, and designed to restore every citizen to full health and strength,” AI Trump said.
“This is the beginning of a new era in American healthcare.”

What he said is true, but unfortunately that will do nothing but will pissed off Trump even more and becomes more unhinged which is quite possible. Political leaders especially from the Republican side are to chicken sh*t to say how they truly feel.

    better late than never.

while agreeing w what Trump had said in 2020,
    [IMG],
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt condemned President Donald Trump’s actions in 2025. the deployment of National Guard troops across state lines,
    [IMG]
“We believe in the federalist system; that’s states’ rights,” Stitt, who chairs the National Governors Association, said
“Oklahomans would lose their mind if Pritzker in Illinois sent troops down to Oklahoma during the Biden administration.”

“As a federalist believer, one governor against another governor, I don’t think that’s the right way to approach this,”

The creator class in Chicago (successful businessmen) are moving out because of the high crime, high taxes, insane regulations and red tape, and looming fiscal crisis (huge budget deficits in Illinois). Democrat policy has failed miserably in Illinois. Pritzker has failed as governor.

    BOEING
    CATERPILLAR
    TYSON FOODS
    TAKEDA
    CITADEL

All huge business that left the Chicago/Illinois area due to crime, taxes, and Democrat mismanagement. Many more are seeking to leave because they know that the state is headed for a fiscal crisis given its budget deficits. Over the last 5 years, hundreds of thousands of people have left the state of Illinois - it's shrinking. Liberal policies fail again!

Trump is seeking to fix what Democrats broke. Restoring law and order is the first step.

    GOOD DAY

Sadly, most of his supporters, and many of our usual suspects here, will completely fall for this nonsense.

Your post is a common one, the gist of which I've likely posted myself - that the Republican leadership, as well as the rank and file of the GOP, are too afraid to say how they really feel about trump's actions less than a year into his second term. However, what trump is doing now is so beyond the pale, his pissing on the Constitution so outrageous, his actions so damaging to our political system that providing the Republican Party, and its members, any sort of excuse for them as they remain quiet is completely undeserved.

    They are complicit.

The feel they have ore to lose by saying something
    than by being quiet

They trying to keep their power and suspect their "base"
will leave if they cross trump
and even if Trump comes off as the ultimate evil
their base will forgive them because they did the same

If that's their reasoning, not only are they selling out their country, they are selling out their own family and friends.
