How do we know the prosecution of James isn't meritorious? Just because you say it isn't? You cite the fact Trump was ultimately convicted to prove the "merits" of the cases against him but you won't wait for a resolution of the James case? Perhaps a jury will find the evidence credible. A grand jury did.

    Double standard much?

James and Bragg weaponized the justice system every bit as much as Trump did.

They ran for public prosecutor positions on the PROMISE to go after a high ranking member of the the opposite political party.

Alvin Bragg picked up a case the SDNY chose not prosecute. He decided to because he was politically motivated. He developed "novel legal theories" to make the case go and he brought the case in one of the bluest counties in the country where the jury pool LOATHED Trump and would have convicted him of anything.

Give me a break with this "James and Bragg weren't politically motivated" nonsense. You can't be serious.

Democrats weaponized the justice system in the State of New York in an attempt to destroy Donald Trump. He didn't act first. I have no problem at all with Trump doing the same thing to James that James did to him.

The low iq/low attention ones are exactly the audience Drumpf is playing to here. Probably wont even notice when she is aquitted and in 10 years they'll still be bringing it up like she was actually convicted and it was anything other than sound and fury. They read the headline that she was indicted (after torturous, byzantine machinations) and just assume she's been convicted and get a little dopamine buzz that makes them think their mideval world view has been validated beyond reproach.

    Mission accomplished. Bamboozle complete.

The case has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Jamar K. Walker and and referred to Magistrate Judge Douglas E. Miller.

LOL...Cue incoming Trump outrage tweet in 5,4,3,2,1.

Long read but SPOT ON. Key thoughts below:

There's no novel theory, no use of a 200-year-old statute that hasn't been charged in who knows how long, no repurposing of an obstruction statute to cover behavior not contemplated. If the complaint is true, she told the banks that she would use the property as a second home, and promptly rented it out to tenants. By lying about her intended use of the property, she got a lower rate from the banks than she would have otherwise.

you are confused and all mixed-up.

this 2018 development planted the seeds for an investigation into the Trump companyies

on the heels on these developments, with vivid eg / details of Trump 's tax fraud schemes, Braggs and James were asked
if they'd prosecute the tax frauds

She was indicted. She has not been convicted.

The problem is Trump has a history with craptastical legal moves.

clear as mud, rendering Traitor George incapable of summarizing the indictment w his own words

another "pre-school" indictment by the former insurance attorney who, most probably, be ruled

stupidity is doing the same thing, invalid appointment of interim US Attorney, and
    expecting a differenct outcome

She bought a house with the help of a Fannie Mae-backed loan in Virginia -- a location where she didn't live. She filled out a mortgage form that said it was her private residence and that she would not use it as a rental property. DAYS LATER she started renting out the house to a third party.

Obvious fraud. I would love to hear why you think it's not fraud. I'll get a good chuckle watching you try to defend her dishonest actions.

I'm fine with the indictment. If they can win a conviction, they're vindicated. Just because it is a revenge prosecution doesn't mean James didn't break the law. I'm guessing they don't get a conviction, but I'll wait and see.

LOL -- that's all you can do, is falsely claim people are lying. Your posts are hard to understand and often unrelated to the topic at hand. When you are incapable of debating, you just fall back into false name-calling.

Take that L, amigo! And work on your communication skills -- I would score them as well below average.

    Another CLEAN WIN for El_Conquistador!

Now tell us about the legal status of our criminal-in-chief's transgressions.

Start with the 34 felony convictions...

LOL, those 34 felonies were a joke. It used a novel legal theory... 200 years of never using the theory for this "crime"... a bookkeeping error by an accountant (not by Trump) was the basis for the "crime"... similar "crimes" in the past were campaign finance misdemeanors and punishable by a small fine... Trump was the victim here -- as Stormy Daniels was extorting him for money.

It was selective prosecution in the extreme. And it was political persecution. The American voting public saw through it... and the backlash against Democrats weaponizing the Justice Department led to President Donald J Trump's election as President. A stunning rebuke of the Democrat's weaponization of the legal system!

It is a ridiculously inefficient use of the government's resources. It is also a costly thing to the defendant.

Like it really, really sucks to defend yourself over BS. Unlike civil matters, it almost impossible to get compensation from the government for BS charges.

It was not a bookkeeping error. Was the crime a big deal? No, people do it all the time, but it also doesn't make it okay. It is just low on the reasons Trump is a terrible person.
