Mahomes has a massive sample size. I think all sports are different. There’s some interesting stuff about why guys like jokic/hakeem/kawhi can play against harder opponents without a decrease in performance and guys like curry/harden/giannis drop off. Thinking basketball has some interesting stuff on it.
Lmao exactly my point - he’s got a massive sample size so you are in agreement that we should be able to use his performance in the playoffs as an example. His playoff numbers are better than his regular season numbers. Higher TD to INT ratio, higher passer rating, higher completion %, etc. In theory he should be playing better defenses in the playoffs so his numbers should dip. So what is your explanation then?
I don’t see why it’s different than some of the nba guys? All the sports are different to me, i just don’t believe the reason guys like curry or giannis or harden are worse in the playoffs is because they lack heart or are not “clutch” or whatever.
Fair enough - that’s what I was asking so I got my answer. I obviously disagree but can't really answer it definitely one way or the other. That said, I don't think lack of heart has anything to do with it.
Also not sure how Giannis and Curry are getting lumped in with Harden. Giannis has been a beast in the playoffs lol

I don't get as much hate watch fun from Mariners losing. I feel about them like Dodgers about Padres. Not rivals, win something and we will talk about it or atleast make couple of trips to WS. This years div win against injured Astros does't do it for me yet. Yankees I need to keep doing this, get into post season every year but keep Cashman & Boone and star core(Cole, Judge, Stanton) keeps getting older. Hope they don't figure out next season the obv that Judge should be on 1B giving him more health end of the contract and Yanks better D on outfield. He gets the Jeter treatment on OF rating, can't miss the ball if you can't touch it .

ill always say, making the postseason. Some young teams just live for the chance to make the playoffs and then of course build from there. Although, if its my beloved Astros, id definitely use the "i know my team didnt make it, but at least they didnt get spanked all over national television" excuse
