If that body cam information is accurate, where is the outrage? Where is the talk that charges need to brought forth and an arrest made? Or is he just going to continue tweeting about how Trump is a tyrant while ICE brutalizes people?

What exactly would you like him to do? You want him to attempt to arrest a federal officer - exercising a federal duty that the SCOTUS has already said is legal? What would like him to do when the ICE officer refuses to come? What about when the other ICE officers and the Secretary of Homeland Security doesn't turn the ICE officer over? Do you want the Chicago Police Department to get into a shoot out with ICE and the National Guard?

Where is the outrage? I guess enough people just don't give a **** REEKO....

 

Nothing will happen to the ICE officer - he won't ever even be identified. If years later they try to indict him, they won't be able to prove he pulled the trigger.

I hope that people realize that the Catholic Church is now against this nonsense from MAGA.

yes, an arrest should absolutely be made, and if the ICE officer refuses, then you tack on even more charges like resisting arrest and whatever else you can find

or do nothing as they assault and kill more people on a daily basis while terrorizing the public

 

the usual Dem response is to do nothing because if they actually try and fight, then X, Y, and Z might happen

then they just continue to lose as the other side does whatever the hell they want and amass more and more power

Look - I don't like the Democratic Party in 2025, they seem to think that it is still the 1990's - the party will have to adapt to MAGA or a third party will replace them or it will be a dictatorship.

Having said that - in the case of Pritzker, there isn't a lot he can do unless he is prepared to have the ISP involved in a shoot out with ICE and the National Guard.

How many people in this country do you think will be ok with ICE refusing to hand over an officer that shot that paster in the head? You get that body cam footage out there and then demand that they be held accountable. You don’t just do nothing because you’re afraid of how these devils will react.

I don't know what the folks in Chicago can do, fight back and you'll end up in a jail cell in El Salvador. The Courts and peaceful protests are all I can see at this point, otherwise there playing into their hands.

WHERE ARE THE ARRESTS?

 

You keep saying this, but WHO is supposed to arrest these goons?

 

Trump controls the SCOTUS- he has gutted the agencies and military and replaced them with under qualified people that know they only have their jobs because they will violate all ethical bounds to protect Trump.

There is NO ONE to arrest ICE agents. The Chicago PD and ISP can’t and the Governor of Illinois knows that.

This is what it looks like when you have a quasi fascist President that controls the House and Senate and the SCOTUS. At this point Trump can do anything he wants until the Republicans in the SCOTUS and Congress decide to oppose him. So that leaves the military (which Trump and Miller and company are working on dismantling) or millions of Americans all deciding to protest and riot at the same time - but even in that case the Trump administration can just go Tienamen Square on Americans and most these Trumpers will think it was justified.

 

The only opposable force would be the National Guard of Illinois, which is/and/or/should be controlled by the Governor. Wouldn't that be fun, to have masked brownshirts having a standoff with actual uniformed military?

 

It is going to take Local Law enforcement to start arresting them.

A lot of hand wringing about who is supposed to hold them accountable but why not even try? What are they going to do? Shoot the police?

You have to force their hand. If they choose not to comply that's another bridge to cross. Another story that's out there. Another argument they have to make about why they're not complying.

You can't sit on your butt, stick your head in the sand and expect they will stop violating the law and people's rights.

 

Local law enforcement and/or the national guard of those states. They have jurisdiction to arrest, prosecute, and jail based on state crimes.

However Pritzker, and Newsom would have to think this is a last resort because it would be sort of the definition of a civil war.

The person whose responsibility this is would be Speaker Johnson and the Senate leader. It’s insane that they are going along with this and allowing this country to go to war with itself under their watch.
