Why is Trump covering up the Epstein files while protecting pedophiles?

Almost all his Cabinet should be put on trial for all their transgressions

The one thing about the rich is they look after their own. I doubt anything substantial comes from any of it.

 

There's a bunch of ways this could play out.

A) Democrats take back Congress in the midterms. The files are released, unredacted, every Republican abandons Trump and pretends they never liked him to begin with. The American voting public probably lets them get away with because Republicans enjoy an insane amount of unearned good will.

B) Democrats take back Congress in the midterms. The files are released, redacted (for whatever reason), Trump is proven to be in the files but retains plausible deniability, declaring total exoneration and his supporters dig in even further, but the 'ick' factor goes up even higher (if that were even possible).

C) Democrats take back Congress in the midterms. Democratic leadership suddenly tells everyone to forget about Epstein. (I see this scenario as far more likely than it should be).

D) Democrats don't take back Congress in the midterms. Trump continues doing stupid and crazy **** to deflect pressure until 2028. The Epstein files get unsealed at some point but it's far too late for it to matter as Trump is either dead or has already pardoned himself and everyone to ever enter his orbit. Republican successfully gaslight the entire country about it all.
