I'm hoping he can play like he's played the last 2 weeks against better competition. If you watch the Payne/Shorts podcast after the Jags game, I would definitely say the jury is still out. But there's no doubt CJ has the athletic ability. The 2 questions that have yet to be answered is can he process fast enough against quality competitiion and is he going to be willing to stand in the pocket under pressure, take a hit and deliver an accurate throw downfield.
Wow, had no idea they have a podcast together. Thanks for pointing me to that. On CJ, man I don’t think it’s that black and white. He’s clearly capable of doing those things but he hasn’t shown that he can consistently do it, and it’s not 100% clear to me just how much he is to blame vs. how he’s being coached, the scheme, the players around him, etc. My issue with him has way more to do with (my perception) of his attitude and body language when he’s faced adversity.
Seth has his own pod under the Seth Payne channel and the one he does with Cecil Short is part of the Bleav channel. The Bleav channel is kind of a new national type of pod channel that has various people doing local pods.
I would agree, after the game with the Titans and Ravens he was upbeat and was having fun, the first few games he looked like a guy who wasn't enjoying his job................I get it, but were about to pay the man $50-60 million dollars a year and I need him to be even keeled when times are tough, I love the guy, but you have to look objectively, and this is something he can work on and I think he will, he just needs more experience, he looks up to Matt Stafford, and he had a hell of a time with the Lions being so bad for so long yet he kept a positive attitude, whether its fake or not, its important for the leader to lead.
