Really liking Davison out there. Hopefully he stays and develops into a solid rotation piece

Not a good sign that KD had 0 pts

 

He's too passive and deferred to teammates way too much. Hope he turns it around.

Yeah biggest difference is Davidson doesn’t force things. He knows when to pass when to shoot.

 

My predictions came true.

One known player hated tonight: Tari

Sengun looked great
Jabari looked great
Reed looked good
Amen looked good
Davison looked great
Tari looked good
Capela Good
Adams - good

Reed with 7 points tonight. The stats were off.

Amen had some rough moments but 1) not worried at all 2) the threes were very very encouraging 3) when kd is in the lineup all these guys will look better

 

This is one of the best preseason games the Rockets had in a long while.

The team is really deep and I am surprised how well the offense has looked considering KD is out.

Sengun looks like a full blown superstar, he showed touch, defense, playmaking and shooting. Even made all his fts. Jabari has shown a lot of growth, prob from working with KD. He is a lot more aggressive and shot 50% from 3. Almost everybody played great but Amen and Reed were disappointing IMO. Amen showed an improved game but also turned it over a lot and wasnt amazing defensively. I mean he looked ok but as one of the Rox big 3 I expect more. Reed played pretty bad, shot poorly across the field, just 1 ast to 3 tos and got manhandled on defense. Dyson Daniels was licking his chops and attacked Reed every play. Of course this is just preseason, and Atlanta is the worst matchup for Reed since aside from Trae evreyone else is 6'7 so hopefully he bounces back.

JD davidson is a beast, another great pickup by Mr. Stone. Honestly Rox need to be careful some other team might offer him a long term deal, dude was GLeague MVP last year so he isnt an unknown.

 

Ime won't play him. He's got that Cam gene

Adams looking and playing as if he was 10 years younger!

 

Thoughts:

Sengun - lol. Not even sure what to say at this point. Dude just gets better and when we think he's topped out...he improves still. Somehow. It's his team.

Amen - looked rushed. In his head. Isnt sure which gear he's in. Not worried but expected a little better.

Reed - gets rushed too easily still but looked more assertive. Net positive and his gravity is noticeable. Hes going to get better.

Jabari - looked different. Completely different. Much more sure of himself. Much more confident in his handle. That contract looking *nice*.

Clint - clearly not the same player he was here. Hops are gone. Idk abt this one.

Tari - looked like Tari. He's not Dyson Daniels or anything close to a Dyson Daniels.

Davidson - credit to him. After watching the Nate Williams and Cam Whitmores and the guy that looked like Syd the Sloth....he looked like he always wanted to make the right play. Very very promising from him.
