Amen is a taller, smarter, more athletic, and better defensive version of Westbrook. It’s actually pretty interesting having Durant come to Houston because I believe he and Amen will be a much better and complete version of what they thought Durant/Westbrook should have been in OKC.

So no, we don’t need nor should we think about Westbrook coming back here.

I can you read and you still sound drunk lol. Westbrook is a net negative. Most nights youre lucky if he does work for the other team. Ya'll crazy or dont know ball.

Maybe I should have asked if you can comprehend instead?

Most end of the bench players are going to be net negatives with extensive minutes. Does this really need to be explained? Or are you just being intentionally obtuse?

This thread is showing how easy it is to generate attention by just saying anything.

I would only do this if CP3 were a definite no go.

We ended up giving OKC Nikola Topic and a 20s pick.

Not exactly what I'd call a haunting.

Russell has played well the last couple of seasons on a tighter leash.

But I still have nightmares from that single season of dysfunction (two thirty three in the morning, bolt upright in bed, cold sweats: "Westbrook!"; my wife: "You've got to let it go").

Daryl Morey was forced to take a chance. He told Harden, who advocated for the reunion, "You've got to make it work." And look what happened. Obviously that would weigh on Stone, even if KD was on board now as Harden was then.

    16th starter

Wouldn't mind as a cheap insurance, but I don't think we can even afford cheap insurance.

I would rather play Aaron Holiday 48 minutes a night than bring in Westbrick. Don't we STILL owe draft picks because of that monstrosity of a trade too?? Do Rockets fans just hate themselves or something?? Why... god Why.

I dont know any fan base he has played for who isn't relieved to see him go. I wonder if they also have a few people clamoring to have him back "if he can just put it together".

    To quote Clutch -

"I don't know if there's ever been another player that impacts winning LESS that Westbrook"

    (or something alike)

I remember Dave making that comment on a podcast or something awhile back, and it always stuck with me. I also always go back to the Finals series with OKC vs MIA where Miami and Spolstra really beat OKC by taking Harden out of the game, and making Russ be the primary playmaker. Westbrook went off in that series, and put up insane stats, but OKC got manhandled and outclassed.

If you care about winning... there is just no evidence that Westbrook is going to really do anything to move the needle. You are better off IMO, playing moneyball to makeup winning plays that don't get on the highlight reel, but do make a difference as a whole.
