I didn’t know the Ravens were named after Edgar Allan Poe’s poem The Raven. I found this out when I watched Homicide: Life of the Streets. Also, Poe possibly died of rabies. If true, I’m guessing a rabid bat bit him while he was walking home one night and he was too drunk to realize what happened.

    Really?

My favorite reading of the poem is,of course, by James Earl Jones:

That was by far the best play calling on both sides I've seen in a while....

Yeah yeah yeah.. I get it was the Ravens with a dozen people out on injuries... But it doesn't take away from the play calling especially on offense.

Give credit where credit is due..

I have been enjoying this comedian from Baltimore called Stavros Halakias in recent weeks. He is pretty clever, great at crowd work and is not one of those amoral d-bags who would suck up to dictators if the money is right. Stavros also *loves* Joe Flacco and the Ravens.
Here is a podcast he did showing that:

Can someone explain to me why the Cardinals INT--> "fumbled" for Titans TD was not ruled incomplete?

The DB caught it falling down while trying to catch his balance with his 3 steps. But he didn't make an actually football move in the process. He then lost it when he fell to ground. If he was a receiver, he would have "not maintained" the catch to the ground.

You'll need to post a replay/highlight, then we can properly judge the play...and you

Yep…I think the Ravens branding, in large part because of the connection to the city, is among the best in pro sports.

As much as I'm happy that we won, this wasn't a competitive game for the offense. It was our starters playing against their 2nd/3rd stringers. The defense was elite, which has been since the start of the season.

I'm glad this is a pick-me-up type of game that the team needed, but I hope this momentum keeps going when we have to play actual competition (Broncos, Bills, Chiefs, etc.).

I don’t understand this, were they supposed to score 70 to make you happy? They didn’t punt until late in the 4th, I really don’t know what else they were supposed to do.

You can only play who is in front of you.

I went to Baltimore once and decided to visit Edgar Allen Poe's grave...the first 8 people I asked didn't know who Poe was at all...
