I started during the Kevin Kolb era. Maybe its recency bias. I was there for the Major Applewhite, Levine and Holgorsen years.
I was in the stands with my dad (for 1+ quarter) for 66-15 vs UH in '88, and...could it get worse? Nah, not possible... then 66-3 vs UCLA in '97 happened, and I was lucky enough to be there for that one too (or again, at least the 1Q) That game got Mackovic fired (but not until the end of the season), and is still colloquially known as Rout 66
I sat through 0-11 and the Kim Helton years this wasn't even in the ballpark for worst experience watching UH football.
