JFC, nobody ever mentioned "context", you muppet. Like I said, "we all saw it", I wasn't talking about "local news" clips, which I thought was obvious

I would like to hear what Nook has to say about the the social situation in Chicago: pulse of the people, etc...

Forcibly entered people's homes without a warrant. Brazenly unconstitutional. Seems like a very intentional flouting of civil rights like they are daring people to call them out on it.

Not just breaking into someone's house but destroying their property. Then zip tying their kids and dragging them out to unmarked moving trucks butt naked for the street to see.

I sincerely cant believe this is happening in America.

Sure, all these things are bad. But it also muddies the picture and opens an avenue for law enforcement to say, 'well, I had to because of x and y and z' and debate what individual officers chose to do in the moment in the fog of war. So I would like to focus on this singular and very important transgression on civil rights, the original sin of this raid: they came in planning to forcibly enter people's homes without a warrant. Every bad thing they did after that naturally degenerates from this one decision made at the top to make an illegal raid.

    Complete the following sentence ...

"Well, Of Course There Is A Republican ... Scandal"

Well, Of Course There Is A Republican Nazi p*rn Scandal

Most of us would have preferred to live the rest of our lives without hearing about Nazi p*rn, but Virginia GOP Lt. Governor candidate John Reid has entered the chat. This is not to be confused with the North Carolina Republican Black Nazi; this is another Nazi-lusting Republican. Interestingly, Republicans don't want us to call them Nazis in today's political climate, but they keep doing Nazi ****, like Reid, who is linked to a blog that has been sharing Nazi p*rn since 2014.

I haven’t heard a lot from people that I know are objective on this that would know for sure. I can confirm that it appears that some ICE agents have been stealing - there are a number of independent people claiming that their money and small valuables have been stolen. I believe it because of the number of reports made to the Chicago PD and also because this is sadly not THAT uncommon, I have had cases of police officers doing it… what isn’t understood is that ICE has a lot of new and also poorly trained members, and they lack the traditional safe guards to prevent theft and abuses that other agencies have… these guys are getting paid unmonitored overtime and are being told to increase their rates of arrest and are being told the agency and administration has their backs.

This also destroys the obvious lie that Trump has been coming into Chicago at the request of the black and poor people in Chicago. I have heard that entire areas/complexes have been held up until 3-4 am on school and work nights.

Its funny cuz all my life ive heard from conservatives how the 2nd amendment was needed to protect Americans from overreach and it was the only tool we had against facism. Now we have the government sending troops at 1am breaking into people's homes with no warrant zip tying little kids in their underwear.

What conservatives have been describing as government overreach is happening right now under their messiah and they have nothing to say.

I am sure you can find some people in the greater Chicagoland that support what Trump is doing, there are like 7 million people… but the overwhelming majority of people, especially those in the actual city of Chicago do not support this. I would guess over 80%… ICE is more flagrant in the poorer black/hispanic areas because historically Chicago citizens have just avoided that area… however the ICE presence is massive. Where I live is considered very nice, and there is ICE present, pulling people over. I was honking and cursing at them because traffic was backed up as they literally walked in the streets deciding which car passengers they wanted to stop…. They are in the street because private businesses are not letting them stay in their driveways. ICE has paid some businesses, but many have refused.

The agents know they are not wanted in Chicago and don’t care. This is a money earning venture for most of them.

Some people rationalize it because they believe the administration that the people being arrested are dangerous criminals.

ICE has always had a purpose and have always targeted dangerous criminals - but the focus now is just mass deportation at any cost.

Even if this is walked back - future administrations have learned that they too can do these types of things.

This is happening at a time the economy is collapsing and we recorded negative job growth for the first time in 15 years. People will not put up with facism if the economy collapses. This **** is about to get really ugly.

trump administration considers minting a $1 trump coin
A draft image of the coin features trump image from his near assassination.

    ByBenjamin Siegel
    October 3, 2025, 9:13 PM

U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach said Friday that the Treasury is considering minting new one-dollar coins for the nation's 250th anniversary featuring an image of President Donald trump.

Beach reposted an X post that featured a draft design of the coin that featured trump's face on one side and on the other a portrait depicting trump pumping his fist in the air after his 2024 near assassination.

The words "Fight, Fight, Fight," which trump shouted before the Secret Service got him off the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, are engraved around the top of the reverse side of the proposed coin.

A Treasury spokesperson told ABC News that more will be shared soon.

"Despite the radical left’s forced shutdown of our government, the facts are clear: Under the historic leadership of President Donald J. trump, our nation is entering its 250th anniversary stronger, more prosperous, and better than ever before," the spokesperson said. "While a final $1 dollar coin design has not yet been selected to commemorate the United States’ semiquincentennial, this first draft reflects well the enduring spirit of our country and democracy, even in the face of immense obstacles. We look forward to sharing more soon."

The Treasury might be able to mint the coin due to a law signed by trump at the end of his first term.

The Circulating Collectible Coin Redesign Act of 2020 permits the Department to mint $1 dollar coins "with designs emblematic of the U.S. semiquincentennial" for one year starting in January of 2026, under the supervision of the Treasury secretary.

There are several provisions that could prevent trump from appearing on currency, though it’s not clear if it would apply in the case of the commemorative $1 coin.
