Im going to preface this with, KG is one of my all time favorites and I'm excited and think they're going to be Really Good. But... I'm not going to be surprised at all if JG has a breakout season. Numbers do not always tell the whole story. With everything Ime instilled in him (ended too soon), Booker's crazy competitiveness rubbing off and a coaching staff, as well as Booker, pushing him to just go, he could shock some.
Just scoring 23 ppg on a more efficient basis would do wonders for his career actually....nothing crazy without chucking all the shots in the world. Same with Cam Whitmore ...if he can string together a 16-17 ppg season would be great.
I could see him scoring a lot of points on terrible efficiency on a 25 win team. None of that suggests an all star appearance is even a little bit possible.
The numbers are fully stacked against Jalen becoming an All-star, I don't think we need to worry there. For him to be an All-star he'll not only need to jump some of the best back court players in the league, but also the star player on his own team. Look at the guards out West he has to jump to be able to be an all-star: SGA Luka Ant-Man Shimmying little 3 point shooting d******d gremlin Amen Ja Jamal Murray Zach Lavine Harden Booker It's impossible. Jalen would have to have the most insane breakout season ever to be an all-star.
Jalen has a great chance to make a couple allstar teams in his career. His next team should be in the east, would increase his chances a ton.
The Suns are going to try and flip him next offseason. Get him to average 20+ then see if you can get a real player for him.
We’ll see. I think Green could do great on the Suns. His issue always seemed to be folding when teams really keyed on him IMO. As a second option, though? That could be his perfect role.
He was the second option here. Teams didnt "key on him". They just played defense. When he wasnt feasting on cellar dwellers he looked like ass.
I'm glad Jalen didn't get injured when we really needed him, but unfortunately, it didn't end up mattering.
I think he has a chance at some point, next season playing for the Suns though? Not a chance, there's just way too many people who would have to drop and he'd have to basically be the consensus MIP if not MVP to change that perception for him to be an all star next year.
na not as a sun, on his next team assuming it's in the east. He could put up some stats as kinda a poor mans lavine.
Hey Jalen, I appreciate that you're gone. Best of luck in Phoenix. Treat yo self and go get your nails done at the swankiest salon.
