Game of Thrones? I was wondering who those two guys were who spewed dangerous nonsense to our military leadership this morning.

What did this meeting accomplish that couldn't been done via an emailed link to a TikTok deepfake of Trump as Rambo?

 

Seriously though, if these two speeches aren't met with immediate and universal revulsion from across all of the US, we will be accelerating down the path to dead neighbors and hell, I guess in the worst case, there is a good chance I'd be one of them.

The good news is that while these guy are fascists, they are also exceedingly dumb (redundant, I know). If you are having trouble with military leadership accepting your view of the world, the last thing you do is bring them all together so they can find like-minded colleagues at the hotel bar, sit next to each other on flights, and such. The next to last thing you do is berate and insult their careers and the people they are in charge of. They love the style of fascists, but they don't have a clue about the logistics. They are like arsonists who set the fire on the downhill side of the road.

 

Trump says so-called “dangerous cities” should be used as “training grounds” for military troops and the national guard. He suggested they were “going into Chicago very soon” and said Portland “looks like a war zone” which is entirely divorced from reality. The guy is such a liar about Portland looking like a war zone. Where's the war in his imaginary world? Who are all the people being bombed, shot down with assault rifles in the streets and in their homes and businesses? Are they taking prisoners too? Good grief, he just spews lies to try and justify using the military to storm American streets and shoot down who they say are the enemy.

The biggest threat to America right now is Trump himself.

 

Well, you have a SecDef who can only think image and visuals, so there's 40 minutes of him looking strong in front of a Patton-esque flag while his position assures that military leadership must sit there and listen to him. So there is that.

It also serves as a primary exhibit in the future Hague trials. How can a SecDef say there are no more rules of engagement? How can a President say some of you will be fighting the enemy within, in Democratic cities?

This is the most ominous pair of speeches ever delivered to the modern US military and by extension, to the country. There better be some major blowback or we will all be re-learning some horrible and painful lessons that many of us thought were off the table just a few short years ago. They are dumb, but still capable of bringing the four horsemen.

 

The biggest threat to liberals and illegals continuing their run of violence all over the nation is TRUMP.

Well I certainly agree that there are some Democrats that need to accept that Trump is President - and if they don't like it, or want to see someone else like him win again, they need to get better at winning elections.

So does that mean we won’t be using the US military on US soil for a made up issue?

 

Most also need to realize that all that Trump has done will be undone on January 20, 2029, by Executive order as soon as the oath has been taken.
If the Dems can figure out a way to win the election. To this point I do not see a savior coming down the mountain riding a donkey.
But 3 years is a ways off.
