One further benefit to a shutdown, is ICE would not get paid - they would still have to work, but would not be paid. The Dems should simply stand on rolling back the taxes don't budge an inch, the American people are 100% behind it - most of the people in this country hate what is going on - time to take a stand - and force TACO to do what he does best....back down. I'm not trying to argue with you. I'm just pointing out that not just the bad guys from ICE get hurt in this situation. I can also tell you that my nephew graduated from the top of his class at St. John fisher College and had a full-time job making almost 6 figures after his officers training school in Quantico, before getting his active-duty dates. Full academic ride, no student loans, and this kid will make more money than both of us put together once his 6-year hitch is up. He is a 3rd generation Marine officer on his father's side of the family. some just feel it is their duty. So, to categorize him as a socialist depending on others taxes is a touch off base. Kid is a proprietary supply accountant for the USMC not a front-line combatant. He is saving our tax dollars if he is doing his job correctly.
