Quote the rest of the post … where I literally wrote “I hope they become professionals like FVV” in the next sentence. It had nothing to do with FVV as a point guard. I understand the role that FVV has played as the point guard. He has been great - and hopefully other players are ready to step up - like Amen and Reed. The Rockets floor as a team is lower without FVV at point, but their ceiling is higher.
No one is "raining on Tari's parade." He has one of the better personalities, and brings energy everywhere... that wasn't him that sat down for Media Day. He obviously thinks he is better than whatever the Rockets offered him and we've seen money. get in the way a bunch of times in NBA history. It could be nothing but considering what we just went through with Cam, it's at least worth a mention and to monitor.

It is 100% the same thing - and the problem is both Cam and Tari are right. Arguably, it looks like Tari believes he is better than Bari Just like Cam sat and watch Green fail every night...... Players get frustrated if they are held back, and this is what happens when you have like skilled or like talented players all vying for a single spot.....we can't keep them all - I think Tari will be traded. After listening to the whole thing, some thoughts: 1. Ime seems confident they can replace FVV’s basketball skills and role by committee. 2. KD seems like a chill dude who truly wanted to be here. 3. Steven Adams is the best at answering generic ass questions. 4. How can they not come up with better questions, especially specific to their situation. Like with Tari, how do you feel about potentially coming off the bench? How was it like for you to start last year? Would you be comfortable with either role? 5. Some of our young guys are not articulate and just spew generic answers. Hate the “grown tremendously” and have become better at everything. At least be specific, which I believe Amen / Jabari / Tari did do in two things he mostly worked on. 6. Jabari’s championship expectations did not reflect his energy level, his own demeanor, reality and the team’s 7. Tari’s answers were not as bad as texts seem to imply, but definitely does not instill confidence in me that he’s going to accept any role as he thinks he’s done enough to prove he’s Top 100. His stats aren’t that good. Plus his value to me is more in what he brings that doesn’t show up in stats: hustle, energy, tapping it to someone, going for rebounds, etc. 8. DFS talks like a southern rapper / gangster and then when that smile comes in it’s like what?! He’s got some crazy to him. 9. Capela still cannot speak English properly. 10. Sengun had some real solid answers.

Actual EPM and Darko both have Tari inside the Top 100. Projected EPM has him just out of the the Top 100. Granted, they use a team's scoring margin relative to who's on the court with him to estimate the value of the things that don't show up in traditional box score stats. So it really depends on the stats, and I like EPM the best of the all-in-one metrics. Frankly, I'm a little surprised he's in the Top 100 in actual EPM. I kind of expected him to be close, but in the 100-150 range. I knew Darko loves them some Tari.
Capela on whether Reed is ready: "The first time I saw him and we played he had like 10 shots in a row. I was like, man, how? From what I saw I'm like, man, this guy got to play. This guy's ready." Music to my ears.
