last week, AMZN settled w the FTC to pay a $2.5 billion for alleged deceptive practices in signing up PRIME members.

since that annoucement, AMZN has risen from 218 to 221. decided to participate in the run-up to the Xmas holidays.
my price target is >245 by the holidays

sold this bullish 30-point PUT spread, using the 12-19-25 expiration, collecting a premium of 13.25.

• buy to open the 200 strike PUT
• sell to open the 230 strike PUT

i am willing to risk $16.75 to win $13.25; at expiration, should AMZN trade above 230, i get to keep all the premium

Costco's earnings release was last Thur, 9-25-25; it beat estimate on all metrics.

today, when COST was trading ~~ 916.5,
a bullish hammer candlestick appears near the bottom of the current down trend
it has been generally accepted as a signal of a trend reversal to the upside.

decided to sell this bullish 75-point PUT spread, using the Dec 19-25 expiration.

• buy to open 875 strike PUT
• sell to open 950 strike PUT
  • collecting a premium of $34.78, which defines my max risk of 40.22

should COST close above 950 at expiration, i get to keep all the premium;
my price target for COST is >960

I got in before all the chaos started with Trump's first term trade war. And, then the Chinese government basically did a number on BABA. Jack Ma left. It just snowballed. I chose to invest in BABA in a retirement account for its potential to continue to grow over the very long term. It wasn't a very fun ride but it's back on the right track. Thank you, AI!
