Espada followed the Dusty pattern of using washed veterans at the expense of younger players that already surpassed them.
At least Espada didn’t by choice put Nico Goodrum or Robel Garcia in the top 2-3 in the batting order with a healthy roster.
You gotta know the Mariners, A's, Angels (yesterday was their World Series - played today like a hangover game), and Rangers took special delight and perverse pleasure in turning the knife on the Astros. Gotta regroup and let that hate fuel an important offseason.
Might work out for the team better in the long run if they missed the playoffs. Could cause them to move from Brown and Espada. I don't think those guys are truly the guys. At least espada. We had enough talent to win games. We just played like a really bad team for the back half of the year when it mattered most.
Sorry Lance I won’t be watching. I said a month and a half ago they could miss the playoffs. Someone on here doubted me. I don’t remember who. People say they missed the playoffs. Were they really in the playoffs last year when they got swept 2 games, at home? Six months of no Astros baseball starts at 5pm today.
