Lets not forget JD Davison. He wasnt a high draft pick but neither was FVV nor Brunson.

If given a chance, I think he can become a viable part of the rotation. He has paid his dues in the G-League and unlike Boston, Houston has room for him to showcase his talents in the backcourt.

Meh, I'll believe it when I see it. Check out the Celtics' boards - a lot of fans are frustrated because they feel the team spent too much time and resources trying to develop JD with no payoff. Obviously it's possible for him to blossom here, but I'm much more invested in Okogie becoming part of the rotation than Davidson.

He looks like another Urkel from another dimension, you can never have enough Urkels.

Too good for the G-League x2. Let the PG war begin.

If things get so bad that random scrub 28% 3 point shooter, G league talent, becomes part of the rotation, the Rockets are in the lottery.

This would essentially be Daishen Nix 2.0

Can’t believe we got Pete Davidson, last time we had a Kardashian hitter was James Harden.

I guess that in case Amen/Reed/Aaron gets injured, he might get some minutes as our guard coming off the bench, at least until we make some move (between Dec15 to deadline) to get another guard. And who knows? If he’s able to provide high quality minutes (and not just in garbage time), maybe we won’t even need a deal for another guard. But I don’t think we’ll see much play time from him as long as we don’t have additional injuries in our back line.

I don't understand why no NBA team was willing to give him a standard NBA contract. He was MVP on the G league and he's only 21 years old. 6'6 wingspan is pretty solid for a point guard.

There must be some attitude concerns in addition to mediocre shooting. Otherwise, it seems like he would have been a good prospect for a tanking team to develop.

Regardless, maybe he can become a decent 3rd NBA point guard. He might get some minutes if either Reed or Holiday miss a few games. It seems like an underrated signing for Rafael Stone. It's probably nothing but I hope it becomes something.

The same reason Daishen Nix hasn't ever found a standard NBA contract.... they aren't NBA caliber players.

Not yet. You don't know that they won't become decent NBA players with development.

There are always guys that surprisingly develop into NBA rotation players that no one thought would become so. Jose Alvarado, Scotty Pippen Jr, Isaiah Joe and Keon Ellis weren't considered to be NBA-level players at the beginning of their careers but somehow have become quality NBA rotation players. JD Davison is a longshot but teams like the Nets and Wizards have less promising players currently occupying roster spots.

If Daishen Nix ever becomes an nba caliber player, he'll earn an nba contract. The same is true for Daishen Nix 2.0
